    1. You say this because like you don't know how much athletes have always partied. Babe Ruth, Lawrence Taylor, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, etc. Social media just makes it seem like it is being done more now.
    2. Your "party animal", James Harden, was first runner up for the MVP and the team he leads made it to the Conference Finals. They were 5 wins from a championship and lost to the team with the best record in the league.
    3. Would you say the same thing if he spent so much time with his family? A wife and kids could take as much time and energy as the party life. I know I have sacrificed time at my job to rush home to family life. It just looks bad because the party life seems worse than the family life but if you can manage family/work then you can manage party/work.

Its definitely possible to work as hard as anyone else has ever worked on his game and his body, and still have fun in his spare time.

Honestly... over the past couple years with Harden the fan-base on here has come across as a bunch of judgmental hypocrites. We have NO IDEA how much and to the extent that James is living his life.

If you stop judging for 2 seconds and just judge his results on the court its obvious to me that the guy puts in the work + some. Just because he doesn't scowl like Kobe doesn't mean he isn't just as serious about the game.

We need to start leaving this alone. The guy isn't hurting you, the team, or anybody else until we see otherwise. The guy continues to put the work in to be one of the best player in the game today. He's a legit MVP caliber player who probably should have won it based on the regular season. I don't know what exactly you guys are expecting here.

100% right! Babe Ruth was a womanizing cigar smoking overweight drunkard... who will always be considered one of goat.... sometimes it just works out that way... prob not the best plan though... lol

Not raggin on the dude... sayin it is what it is... and its stupid of me to hold the dude to a higher standard than I would employ if I were in his shoes... :)

Until I see proof that the cause for Harden's bad game(s) is too much partying then this is a silly thread.

James is going to either be the new Michael Ray Richardson or the new joe Namath.

One thing that getting older does do for you is give you perspective.

And that perspective tells me I don't miss the partying and wild life of my younger years, but I DO regret not pursuing things that were more meaningful that unfortunately are beyond my reach today.

So my vote is pursue championships.
