My predictions: A scene with the Golden Gate Bridge collapsing. The "Hollywood" letters tumbling over. And a random scene with a move director yelling at his cast saying: "You're not convincing me! When you say that line I feel nothing! I NEED TO FEEL IT!" Then the actor says the line and the earthquake happens right afterwards.

Saw the movie over the weekend. Incredibly formulaic. Some of the destruction was cool looking but the trailers pretty much spoiled all the money shots. The Rock was fine, but he didn't have a lot to work with. Highlight of the movie was the couple scenes when Alexandra Daddario and Carla Gugino were running and bouncing their...tracks of land all over the place.

When Alexandra was swimming in the building...very nice. Yeah, the trailers ruined all the best action. Typical disaster flick, but it wasn't terrible.

it was ok - Alexandra bouncing all over was a nice added effect.

I thought the CGI was good - the story line was predictable and all but overall it was ok - I think its actually probably one I would have preferred to see in theaters over at home just because of the action and all have a better effect in the theater than at home.

though i left thinking - damn that can happen at anytime right now and I live in the SF Valley
