Only if you don't know talent. Ariza, while a nice player, is a role player. And to you guys that can't see out of the box, Marc Gasol and Dwight with Harden would be far better than Gasol, Zach, and Conley. I guarantee you Gasol up high on the pick-and-pop with Dwight hanging out weak side OR Dwight and Harden in the pick-and-roll with Marc spotted up on the perimeter would drive NBA defenses crazy. Not to mention alternating both of them and having at least one of them on the floor the entire 48 minutes. I don't think we'll get Gasol. But I do think we've got a decent chance to land one of Gasol, Love, or LaMarcus. And I do think we Morey should put this team in a position to acquire through trade or free agency, two more (not just one more) superstars by 2016-17. You have to be able to see the future. LeBron is going to be coming out of the East for the next 3 to 5 years and Cleveland is going to be LOADED. Remember the cap is going up for every team, not just us. So Cleveland is going to be able to use their cap space next summer and the summer of 2017 too. Lebron is not only a great player but most players that don't play his position (he's a playmaking point power forward) love playing with him. So irregardless of what Love does (and they are proving right now they don't need him) LeBron is going to have a powerhouse team. You've got to see what's coming and build with the future and present in mind. We need two more superstar level players before we commit cap long-term to role players. Gotta make it happen if we don't want to lose in the conference playoffs or The Finals and just be the new version of the Malone/Stockton Jazz or the Adelman Kings teams of a couple decades ago. If that's what you want just keep clinging to Ariza with all your heart.
Yeah, the doc does claim on his twitter to be privy to something big, but can't reveal anything til after the draft (lest he mess it up for us all, I guess). Which won't amount to much because things often fall through anyway, but it's fun to speculate, and it's good to know Morey's doing what he can. As he must. We're so close. But close won't get it done. Too bad doc got scared off the board.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless Its a pretty redundant word, but its still a word!
If you're referring to the Devin Booker tweet, I don't see anything that purports that tweet to be some sort of insider info. Doc Rocket has posted a lot of insider info...but everything he posts isn't insider info. He's a fan too. In my opinion, that tweet may or may not be insider info.

That smells like a coaching change to me since right before he said he hadn't heard anything except "we need a shooter".
If they will draft a shooter much more likely to draft Hunter at 18 than trade up in the top10 for Booker. I really dont like Hunter so hopefully this and the interest in Jones are smokescreens.
It is now as a result of so many using it improperly for so long. I can't remember who it was that changed the word/non-word's designation but I remember reading stories about a year ago about it. This is how language often evolves. Whether it's a word or not though, one should always use regardless instead because irregardless is a bad and dumb word and it means the exact same thing.
Can we stop the "irregardless" discussion? 1. Has nothing to do with basketball. 2. Has nothing to do with the Rockets. 3. Has nothing to do with Doc Rockets messages.
Supposedly Hunter was lights out at the draft camp, FWIW. Don't know if that fans up Morey's skirt or not. Thanks be to J.R., aka Captain Post-Tweet.
The Gasol rumor from the cyber thread or even less likely the return of Yao in a Mutombo role?
Dude... The Rockets are not firing Kevin McHale and they sure are not bringing in a micro managing control freak coach like Thibs.
