if you dig into my posts here, i've always acknowledged harden is an elite player (by today's standards nonetheless).
so cut the hater stuff b4 you open your mouth, ok?

i've also stated i personally dont like his style of play, and i think he doesnt possess mental toughness. i question his drive.

harden is not in kobe's league, and i dont think he ever will (though i am not too fond of kobe as a person). now this is just my opinion. i could be proven right or wrong. time will tell.

and kobe is not in mj's league. this is not an opinion. its a fact.

which one of the above you have problems with?

It's not all one thing or the other.

Maybe party half as much and focus more on basketball now.

On the other hand, Harden is 25. I did an awful lot of stupid partying when I was that age.

I don't know why you added this disclaimer to your post when your entire post was ragging on Harden. This is such a stupid topic.

Please name some non-diva NBA players so that we can begin that discussion, as if it has any relevance. Some of the best players in the history of the NBA have had notorious private partying lives.

Ummm... wasnt ragging on Harden at all really... great year, #2 in mvp, a lot of phenomenal games.... all while (by all accounts) enjoying himself to the Nth degree - ultimate props! :)

Personally, I think its silly to expect someone like Harden (with all his riches) to be a monk... or to be as fanatical about the game as an MJ or Kobe... if I were in his role - I wouldn't! lol!

I guess I was just coming to the conclusion, that to expect someone with the skillset AND mindset of an MJ or Kobe is a once in a generation kinda thing.... but if you get a superstar talent - enjoy it (with whatever comes with it) and hopefully get the right pieces to make it count....

You can do both. I wonder how Floyd Mayweather managed to be so great since partying stops you from being great smh

Mayweather apparently doesnt smoke or drink. The dude is cut from the Kobe cloth in terms of being a bit obsessive/introverted about their sports.

Big booty strippers + basketball until I get my next mega control and mega shoe deal. Then less basketball and more big booty strippers. If you are mega rich, life's too short to spend it playing a kids' game.

They are not mutually exclusive. Big booty strippers helps increase one's strength and ability to finish through contact. However, Harden may need to spend some time working with smaller booty athletic strippers to increase his lateral quickness and making quick reactions to sudden movements.

don't really care what he does in the regular season, as it seems he can drag a team to the #2 seed on his own, but perhaps he could cull it during the playoffs

I would practice on my free throws all day long, amirite?

    Then shave every morning.

Wasn't it last offseason when fans criticized Harden for liking big booty too much and that was why he was not elite. Now that he is elite and arguably had the best season of any player in the NBA, the goalpost is now moved to "not championship caliber?"

If partying got him to become 2nd in MVP voting up from being a 6th man 3 years ago, I hope he continues to party.

Having both is the ultimate goal.
We, the fans, love Harden for who he is. We want him to win like Kobe and Lebron. Not like Duncan, he's not that guy.
