Hernandez is the type of pitchers the 2014 Astros would've trotted out for a season. This year we need to get serious. He is just too inconsistent, no zip. 4 runs through 3 innings not acceptable
4-0 hole. This team can make up the difference but they have to limit the damage now. Don't give up any more runs...maybe time for the long relief guy.
Hernandez is who we thought he was. He had an overachieving stretch to start the year, but as most of us expected he shouldn't be starting on a team with any hopes of competing. Straily has been pitching much better this month at Fresno, hope to see him up to replace Hernandez. Wouldn't mind see Woj either. Either way, I just don't want to see Fausto any more.
The good thing is that Roberto's days are numbered. If they don't replace him in the next week or two ya know that he'll be gone when Feldman returns. It'll be: Keuchel McHugh Mccullers Feldman Oberholtzer
As bad as his numbers are today, the Sox haven't really gotten many great swings on Hernandez. Other than Cabrera's double, it's been a bunch of dink and dunk and seeing eye singles.
