So I about as comfortable as ever on the court and I am wondering which machines (or free weights) will help expand my shooting range. Secondly, what are the primary muscles that help with range? I assume the biceps, triceps, and wrist combination, but that seems fairly common sense. I guess I mean which aspect is most important.

A basketball jumpshot works with each segment working together to create a summation of force.

It all starts with the legs, which are your largest muscles and the muscles which can generate the most power. So i would start there if i were you

Legs. Hams and Glutes should generate the foundation of power for your jumpshot. The arms should be mostly used as a guide for the direction of the ball.

A man should be able to lift 500 pounds straight off the ground.

Weights are not gonna help you shoot better.

Get the right form. The right shooting habits. Look at Curry, he isn't swole or doesn't even look like he lifts but is the best shooter all time already.

Maybe weights will help your range if you're trying to shoot a half court shot like a regular jump shot. Many NBA players have the capability to do this with ease.
