Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. They're dumb as rocks so you can trust their intentions, but not their abilities or influence. Separately I wouldn't trust anything written on a performance review, ever. Most managers get where they are through favoritism or direct sabotage.
Three golden rules I wish I lived by but as yet don't. 1. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. 2. Err on the side of action, not caution. 3. Always think forward. Do not get caught up in your regrets. Actually, they're all one and the same rule, which I struggle to actualize.
