They said there needed to be a happy medium between brutality and neglect.

You don't "balance" or compromise between two things by removing both of them.

Again being obtuse. You endorsed Police Brutality in your opening statement and now are backing off of it. Fine, just own up to it.

Police need to do their job. Their job doesn't include shooting and maiming people or acting like thugs.

There are plenty of cops who are effective while doing their job right. That's not a middle road or some sort of 3rd direction - it's the direction they are suppose to take all along!

    I never endorsed it.

And yes they should have taken the third direction all along but somehow with decades of democrat leadership they never did

So it's a politician's job to show a cop how to police?

Not exactly, but they are accountable to the mayor and city council

Gotcha - so it's the governor's fault that the cops severed the guys spine. I see how you think now. Enlightening.

He was the mayor of Baltimore before.

    Behold his legacy.

The anti-honesty environment that Fox "News" and the GOP have created contributed to this asinine statement.

Baltimore is considered the herion capital of the US and they have a shipping port. Everyone in this thread is talking about what to do about the effect but there's no talk of what to do about the cause... And ironically, herion usage has grown in this country since the US invaded Afghanistan.
