40 years from now, Ariza can tell his grand kids, "Grandpa once took out both the Splash Brothers. Yeah, that's how good I was!"
I feel bad for Klay and hope the best for his health going forward. That being said he saw Ariza go up to try to contest his shot and leaned into the contact. Not 100% Ariza was to blame, Klay knew he was trying to draw contact. The Warriors need everyone on that roster to contribute to do well against the Cavs. I don't see the Warriors beating them in the Finals without a healthy Klay Thompson.
Klay let it out of the bag when he said that he felt "a little dizzy" when being interviewed after the game by Doris Burke.
That was some kick by Lord Threeza. Bruce Lee would have approved. Seriously, I hope KT recovers from whatever is ailing him. Seems like a nice guy.
And now Warriors fans calling out Ariza, the only player on the Rockets who has a clean reputation around the league. Add The Warriors to an ever growing list of teams that hate our guts lol.
I love how Harden closes his eyes as Ariza knees Thompson. You can see the "oh **** that hurt" very vividly.
Not exactly. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6UpesB0DI-4" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
Dumbass KT actually lowered his head into Threeza's knee. The fool tried to headbutt his knee!!! Should be fined for trying to flop.
That play might teach players to stop doing the fake shot/lean into the defender play, Klay did just that and didn't see the knee coming right at him. Dangerous play
I would like to see him in the championship. He's good, but clearly guardable. That said, I think you can mess around with other injuries. Other injuries might end your career if you push it to far, but when it comes to the head, that can ruin your life. I would not risk it unless an independent Doctor gives him clearance to resume.
Unfortunate news. I hope he makes a full recovery. I'm a little relieved at how reasonable this thread has been, on seeing this news I legitimately expected dozens and dozens of posts about how the Warriors cheated the concussion procedure to screw us over.
Almost every shooter does that nowadays. They are calling tons of fouls on this kind of fake and lean tactic. And don't get me started on offensive player initiating contact...
