they're going to have to send someone down when Obie comes off the DL on Monday. A weekend won't be enough time to say "he's producing too much as a reliever to keep him up", esp given that the rest of the pen is producing
I'm assuming he's just up for 3 days to fill a roster spot and go right back down on Monday. I imagine he wouldn't even pitch unless absolutely needed.
Teams call up pitchers and put them in relief the first season all the time. Only difference is that our rotation has been struggling. I'm surprised by this move, but I want to see how he does.
Huge fastball works out of the pen. Roster decisions in the future. (haven't read past 6 posts, but posting anyway) I really like all 3 guys in charge of the Houston sports teams.
I'm thinking they send down Buchanan. Woj would seem to make more sense if they just wanted an emergency guy for a weekend.
