Doc Rocket doesn't post here anymore. He has already been run off. I think he still reads the forum and will post reactionary tweets to speculation he sees here.

By the way, no ill will towards the doctor. Just punning with my previous comment.

Batman Jones is somewhat of an "insider" like Clutch is. Not inside the organization per se, but have friendly terms with the organization.

I don't know if Doc is a true insider but I agree with you.
Esp if it's news they don't like to hear, some posters here like to ridicule and run off the insiders. Maybe it's some kind of inferiority complex.

Believing in insiders is like a religion. You either believe or you don't, because this is stuff that people like Morey or McHale would never bother confirm or deny regardless of truth. If you don't believe in such things, just ignore it and go on your business like normal. I'm not a Christian, but I don't go around telling Christians to stop quoting the bible.

That's exactly what is... They are jealous and don't want to believe or want anyone else to believe because they don't get the info themselves

Funny thing is imagine one of these punks ran across some legit info can you imagine the arrogance they would have proclaiming their new found insider status

Most mocks have Booker going just outside of the top 10. How much would it take to move that far up?

Don't understand the Thompson comparison. Besides the height and spot up shooting I don't see any other similarities.

I would like to see him in Rockets red though but right now he is only a taller Troy Daniels I think he has higher potential though. But won't contribute much next season.

I think Booker will go to either Detroit or Charlotte. He's the best shooter in the draft. I don't think that the Rockets can move up with their assets of Jones +18 because at 18 the talent is much less.

Im thinking either one of the two offers Terrence Jones + 18th or 18th + 32nd.

The first round in this draft has 3 tiers. There's the top 4, there's the top 10-12 and then there's the rest. Historically to move 9 spots into the top 10 takes another mid first round pick at the least.

I can't work out how I feel about this. Taking our overall needs and asset situation into account, I think I'd rather hang onto current players until things start moving w/ FA and/or preseason trades. It would really suck to move TJ to move up in the draft, then wish we had that asset available to use the following month. I dunno. Tough decisions like these are why I'm glad I'm not a GM, I guess.

TJ has no trade value. Him and #18 yields nothing. Capela, DMo, Ariza....wanna move up substantially in this draft and one or more of them gots to go with #18.

I'd love to see if PHX would bite on Capela for #13. Then combine #13 and #18 (and #32 if necessary) to get up to #8 or so.

Morey would never do it. He rather have low picks, catch some star and be a hero than trade for high pick and fail. Imagine how mad fans would be if we trade all those picks&Capela and then turns out that high pick is a bust or a no-show.

There is enough talent in late first or second rounds, you just need to dig and if it works - you're a hero. #Moreystyle

Thank you Doc. I was hoping you wouldn't be posting anything like this, this early. I was hoping you were too busy watching our team get to and win the championship. Here's to next year!
