I seriously stopped reading after this, considering in order to win two rings, you need to at the very least beat a good west team lol.

I think this year lebron beat a better team to get to the Finals. I still think Chicago have more talents than Cleveland without love and with a hobbled Kyrie. Had the Bulls won game 4 they probably would be playing in the Finals.

That was Jordan's 9th year in the league. It's 12 for LeBron.

So other than rebounding and assists, Jordan destroys magic.

To me lebron is the best SF to ever lace them up, and that is saying alot. I dont like comparing him to jordan because i dont feel their games are comparable. If im starting a team from scratch the decision between these two to start with is getting less clear ill put it that way.

To me it speaks to just how much the West has dominated the NBA since 2000. Amazing

As crappy as the east looks like it will continue to be for the next few years, Lebron can easily lose 2-3 more NBA Finals.

2 for 8 in the NBA Finals coming out of the weakest conference the NBA has seen in a long, long time won't help his GOAT argument.

Fair or not, it looks worse to continually fail on the big stage than it does to not even get there. With Jordan's Bulls, you could see the growth each year and once that team figured it out they kept going to the Finals and kept winning. Lebron's pattern of jumping ship when things look bleak looks bad. Hell, even the return to Cleveland was scripted and molded by Lebron to have nothing to do with winning a Championship. The tone was all about going home and just giving his all for Cleveland.

At the same time, LeBron taking 3 separate teams to the finals is amazing and harder. Any team he goes to becomes an instant contender.

Jordan had the help of a consistently good roster and coaching staff. In Jordan's first retirement year they made the eastern conference finals. When he came back they added rodman.

All the other guys also have twice as much time in the league.

    But against 50+ teams

Lebron is 7 wins 7 losses
Jordan is 20 wins 7 losses

Not Lebron's fault...it's the fault of LBJ huggers that want to put the crown on him as the GOAT

His all time top 5 for now, but people get carried away

14 of Kobe's 24 are from when he was Shaq's sidekick.

What's funny is if you change the criteria to 60 win teams then the results are:

    Jordan - 4
    Magic - 2
    Bird - 2
    LeBron - 2
    DWIGHT HOWARD - 2
    Duncan - 1
    KOBE - ZERO

It's interesting how people perpetually use TEAM success/failure to measure INDIVIDUALS.

This is such a bunch of bull, MJ has been deified by Nike so much so that he looks like the perfect player when he clearly isn't. MJ is definitely a great player, but his 6 rings that everyone keeps talking about is as much a product of Phil Jackson and Krause as MJ. Was Jordan "Jordanesque" during his first 6 years in the league? If he was so amazing and the GOAT why couldn't he win a ring by himself and had to wait until the bad boy Pistons got old and Pippen and Rodman and Jackson all arrived?

Do I think LBJ is better than MJ? Of course not, in terms of individual skill I think the stats of MJ show that he is still on another level than LBJ. However using the 6 rings as argument is really stupid, LBJ by himself has been to 5 finals. If he has Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Kukoch and the rest of Jordan's cast in each of his finals series how many rings will he have? To be honest with that kind of supporting cast behind him (the Bulls were able to reach ECF finals without MJ btw) I'm pretty sure a lot of superstars including Magic, Bird, Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, Hakeem etc. would all have 6 rings and maybe even more since they wouldn't quit basketball for 2 years to have a failed baseball career.

Wait... so you're telling me if you put Lebron on any of the western conference teams that made the playoffs, his team will not make it out to the finals? Lets take a look shall we?

    Warriors - Lebron, Curry, Thompson
    Rockets - Harden, Howard, Lebron
    Clippers - Griffin, Paul, Lebron
    Portland - Lillaird, Aldridge, Lebron
Memphis - Conley, ZBO, Gasol, Lebron
    Spurs - Duncan, Parker, Lebron
    Mavs - Ellis, Dirk, Lebron
    Pelicans - Lebron, Anthony Davis

Lebron can take any team to the NBA finals.

Didn't Lebron have a prime Wade (3rd best SG of ALL TIME) and prime Bosh (Future Hall Of Famer) in 2011 and still lost in the finals?

If he didnt quit for 1.5 years...he could possibly had more rings.

You do realise he only had 13 years (if we exclude his Wizard years when he was 39 years old) to achieve his 6 rings. Thats insane %. 6 out of 13 years.

Lebron is 2 out of 12 years. Are you kidding me? Jordan is GOAT...no matter how you slice it
