Why do people believe harden would be ineffective with a true a PG. He can be just as dominant if not more dominant playing off the ball. He did great being a 3rd option with OKC and we gave him a max off of that.
We need to draft a PG, not get Ty Lawson, who quits and gets DUIs. We just ended the season as the 3rd best team in the NBA, WITHOUT A PG AT ALL. I'm thinking of the future. We will hopefully have Harden for 10 more All-Star caliber seasons. He needs a young buck to run the offense with him in the years to come. This team was so close this year, but GS is arguably the best team since the 72-win Bulls. We need a PG who can shoot and is athletic and a good ball handler. I.E. D'Angelo Russell. I'd call Philly right now and see what we could do for the 3rd pick. #18, #32, 2016 unprotected 1st Round pick, KPap, TJones...is that enough?
No team is going to trade the 3rd pick for a few role players. I do not think so, but we do not need such a high pick for a PG, #10-18 may be ok.
I would definitely be happy with Vasquez, good shooter & passer plus he would give KD another reason to come here.
it would be the gogi situation all over again for bledsoe, or gogi. harden just needs to lower the turnover average down to 2.5 and that's how we fix the pg situation.
Firstly, Lawson quit on the Nuggets, a team that has major chemistry, coaching issues, and that has been bottoming out without Anthony for years. Secondly a whole lot of players go out and party and get drunk, Lawson getting a DUI is a whole bunch of nothing. As for Harden having 10 more ALL STAR caliber seasons, we'd be EXTREMELY lucky to get that type of production until he's 35. He's more then likely to start falling off around 30 like everybody else, realistically 5 more years of true all star production, and that's if he can stay perfectly healthy.
I think Morey will have to include some incriminating photos of Hinkie in order to make that deal work, lol
When Harden was with OKC, he was assisted on 36% of his 2 point shots, and 87% of his 3's. With Houston it's 21% and 52%. He's not only capable of playing with another playmaker, he DESPERATELY needs to.
Lowry never had issues with Morey, only McHale. Also, Morey didn't trade Lowry against his will; Lowry demanded that the Rockets either trade him or McHale so of course we chose McHale. Lowry was WILLING TO COME BACK if we had not decided to wait for Bosh and Melo to decide first. Dragic on the other hand was upset we didn't give him the contract we wanted (instead we gave it to Jeremy Lin ) and decided to stick it to Houston when we tried to trade for him at the deadline. He also wanted to be the man on the team, which he would never be in Houston.
Agreed, but the other playmaker also needs to be able to shoot when Harden passes to them. This is what makes Rondo a bad fit.
He can excel, but the question is, will he? Harden has shown to be extremely lazy and disinterested when he doesn't have the ball on offense.
That's never going to happen. Here's a list of players who average 25+ points, 7+ assists, and >2.5 turnovers the last 30 years. ......
Right now the other point guards in the West dont have to work hard on the defensive side when they play houston. Bev, Terry(at his age) do not have the play making abilities to make their defenders work. They need a point guard that can A. take the burden off Harden and B. make point guards work(through screens, chase). I would rather have Conley than Lawson. Though i know with the money situation it is not possible
