Lol, and during the season too!!! Wooooooo, instead of focusing on team chemistry with players, we go the coach route!

You can't give Dwight a bigger role without making the team worse, you just can't, Dwight is a bad a offensive player, he will always be a bad offensive player, he can't post up, he can't shoot free throws, he can't shoot jumpers. When he was in Orlando he could dunk the ball from everywhere, but he can't do that anymore. Dwight Howard is a 3rd option, someone who only does what he's exceptional at, and stays away from everything else.

No coach in the history of the nba, not Phil, not Pop, not Red, no one can give what he is now a bigger role and get better.

Mchale has his issues, but Dwight being an idiot isn't something he can solve. Dwight Howard is a better version of DJ, defensive, rebounding, putbacks, cuts, rolling and dunking, he's the best player at that collective group of skills, that's who he is and if he ever wants to win, that's who he has to play like. Every time he posts up we may as well just throw the ball to the referee, and let the other team have the ball for their possession, at least it'd be a deadball.

Don't forget Game 3 in this series. Harden was much better overall this postseason than in the last 3 years. But when he stunk, he really laid some turds out there.

It's been 82 games for decades.. this was just an unusually rough year injury-wise for the league.

I see where Codman is coming from. For example, in Game 1 I think it was, Dwight had two quick fouls, McHale was going to bring in Capela. Dwight said "no keep me in" and McHale nodded and let him stay. He has no backbone. JB and the rest of the staff do the yelling. Dwight is complaining about his role? Well, when you start making FTs then we can talk. If he's going to be a diva AGAIN, I'd ship him out... FAST.

too honest for clutcrhfans. Why did they delete my thread. Ill repost It here. The spread was 10.5 points. Harden throws the ball away and then fouls curry, down 11. Ok no big deal frustration foul maybe? Next possession go's between the legs with no pressure and loses the ball out of bounds and then proceeds to back curry, the refs don't even want to call the foul but harden forces the refs hand by pushing curry while shooting a 3. Rockets lose by 14 spread covered. Watch the game again with an open mind the turnovers, no defensive intensity or effort at all. I hope the money was worth it Harden because it was obvious that you were paid off.

Right. Dwight is a terrible passer. Those half court passes that ended up in turnovers (with players right next to him) and then he tries to yell at Terry telling him to keep moving. Nah brah, that was on you Dwight. The first one was especially bad because the Rockets were within 1 or 2 then, iirc.

I can go back farther than that. Remember the futility of those 76ers teams with Julius Erving? They had more than one meltdown on their way to the title. In the 1976-77 NBA Finals, they were up 2-0 over Portland only to drop 4 straight to the Trailblazers. That led to the 1977–78 motto of "We owe you one" which Erving proclaimed on local TV commercials. They lost in the ECF to the Washington Bullets. In 1980, they lost in the NBA Finals to the Lakers 4-2 where in Game 6, Magic Johnson played center and dropped 42 points. In the 1981 ECF against Boston, they went up 3-1, fell to 3-3 and won Game 7 at Boston only to lose in the NBA Finals to LA. They didn't break through until 1982-83 after they acquired Moses Malone from guess where and went to their third NBA Finals where they finally broke through. These were the famous 4-5-4 Sixers.

Second in the Western Conference, made the Western Conference Finals, a player coming Second in the MVP, finally a healthy Dwight...What a great season!!!

All things end badly, or they wouldn't end at all...Wish it didn't end like this, but the future looks very bright.

Thank you team for such a great journey.

Now I'm going to have a shower, so my kids don't see me cry.

I think we're going to have to surround James with a cast that can carry the water when things get dicey. He is an engine that can get us to the last lap, but when teams key on him and the lights are bright, he seemingly just turns into Mr. Magoo.

Like I said, I firmly believe we can win an NBA title with James as the lead sled dog. But there's no way we're going to see any 1994-95 playoffs level heroics out of him.

He makes millions of dollars every year. Sometimes the truth hurts, and the truth is he choked tonight. To become a great player you must first overcome adversity and your demons.
