For those that hate Harden, I'm guessing you'd rather go back to the 9th place finishes in the West with a 0.5% chance in the lottery versus where Harden took us this season ... Bunch of losers you are
You guys are pretty spoiled if you think Harden is going to be spectacular every ******* game. Harden is fine. Our PFs combined for 5 freaking rebounds. Only one player on our bench scored a single point. Smith went 3-14..... Despite his bad game, he still had the highest +/- on the team.
I guess I just can't pin one anomaly (yes, it was an anomaly) on Harden to define his entire season. I'm not that kind of fan. It was a terrible, disheartening performance at the worst possible time, but any rational person knows the Rockets are nowhere without Harden this season. Call me a homer, I guess.
People hating on Harden need to remember who would be our star duo if he wasn't here... Jeremy Lamb & Jeremy Lin. Go meditate on that.
He had more turnovers than anyone else in playoff history. He shot terrible, like around 20%. Overall, I still think Harden is amazing and I am happy the Rockets are building their team around him. He is a great player and a future hall of famer with his jersey in the rafters. He had a couple bad games this series, but he is going to come back next year even better than this year -- just like he improved from last season. Great year for Harden. Great year for the Rockets. And I have every reason to believe next year will be even better for both.
You do know that there are level of performances in between spectacular and breaking an NBA record for turnovers in the playoffs and only making TWO shot attempts. And Smith isn't the runner up to the MVP. The Rockets can survive with a ****ty Smith game here and there or a ****ty Terry game here or there or a ****ty Jones game here or there. When your best player puts up historically bad numbers in an elimination game, wtf do toy expect... OF COURSE EVERYONE IS GOING TO **** ON HARDEN.
Complain about Harden all you want but we are no where close to be in this position if not for Harden. Harden has to do everything for the team on offense. He is our best shooter, scorer and playmaker. Some games its going to be too much for him to handle by himself. We just need to round out this team, the big pieces are in place for the most part. I'm very comfortable with the Harden, Howard, Ariza, DMo combo. Need to find some shooters and a real point guard that can alleviate the pressure off of Harden.
Harden having a large amount of turnovers is not an "anomaly". Correct me if I'm wrong but he did league the league in turnovers.
He's 25. He'll be alright, this loss wasn't all on him. The bench failed to show up and Dwight, Terry, Ariza were the only 3.
Definitely was hard to watch. 13 turnovers and all those misses. Clearly he wasn't his best. But to rip on him is not right. So young and so talented. All you can do is hope he grows and gets even better. Which is scary.
Yes. NBA franchises go the rebuilds. We rebuilt and have the core that apparently is going to win us rings.
No this loss was ALL on him. If he had just a mediocre performance we could have won. The Warriors were very beatable today.
Not gonna start with desperation comments like many on here but Harden disappeared 2 games out of this series... You can't excuse that
Those calling him a quitter should look at themselves in the mirror because they are the ones that are the quitters.
