definitely is awful. But last year, his stats don't count. But the years before that do, because stats and I look at rosters
it feels like this thread is filled with people that think it's still 2011-2014 and we still lose every game. This team has ability, has more wins than any other team, and can turn it around! Go Stros
His "stuff" is more of a number 4 guy than a 2 guy. McCullers better be the real deal, if not, HOUSTON, we have a problem, because with Feldman, McHugh and Hernandez in our rotation, OUCHHHHHHHHHH
DUDE, Marwin is not Villar, WHO HAS A GREAT ARM, Marwin has a WEAK arm. If you are unable to see that, well, talking about "knowledge"?
you posted it before I did. I feel like it's the final clue that he's a huge troll from somewhere else (Dallas?)
10th Start, 3rd time he has given up more than 3 runs. I would guess that is his true self, very good solid major league starter. The 7 run outing against SF makes the overall numbers look worse than they should be, and obviously a couple of balls this inning have been smoked. No reason to think he won't be just fine moving forward
even with his recent non-ideal starts, McHugh has a FIP/xFIP around 3.6, which is around where a lot of projections had him this year. If his ERA ends up there in the AL, I think we'd be in decent shape. Yeah, we're still ideally looking for a top notch starter to go above him... but I think we already knew that. The guy is pretty damn solid, and a couple of starts shouldn't suddenly change that
2 poor starts (SF and this) with 2 pretty good ones in between. It happens. There probably is regression, but at this point, it's manifesting itself into a poor outing here and there.
Nahhhh, i am from Puerto Rico, and dude, i've been an Astros fan since 1976. I followed Puerto Rican players like Jose Cruz and Dickie Thon from day one. Sorry to disappoint you, but no, i am not from Dallas, but, i've been there and is pretty. Also, i've been in Houston, and is also a very pretty city.
because you mentioned, this is interesting (granted it was written well before the recent issues and is based on last year moreso): http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/collin-mchugh-continues-to-trust-his-slider/
