ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 5/27/2015 (Western Conference Finals, Game 5)

I still BELIEVE! GO ROCKETS!!!

 

Feeling pretty good about this game. I dont think the NBA wants a big 9 day vacation until the finals so I think the Rockets will be on the good side of refs tonight.

 

For some reason I feel like this team is about to make history.

 

This team has all my emotions now...PLS ROKS

 

Yeah I'm feeling that way too. I haven't felt this way about a Houston team in a very long time.

 

Not so much the Warriors should win tonight, but the Warriors better win tonight.

If the Rockets are able to get a win tonight, all bets are off the table for this series.

Game 6 in Houston is going to be crazy and anything is possible in a Game 7. Tonight is going to be the toughest game, and if the Rockets win then I like their chances.

We are going to have to babysit Dwight for the rest of the playoffs. Warriors are going to bait him hard for the rest of the series. Would not be surprised if the Warriors are planning to foul Howard hard to see if he will respond. I hope Howard and the Rockets will watch his cool.

Tonight is going to be huge. Hope the Rockets can pull through.

 

We have zero chance of getting out to a fast start, and leading at halftime.

It because we have so many inconsistent x-factors (Jones, Brewer, Smith) on this team that can totally change a series around plus two superstars, one of which was arguably the best player this season.

Any game, any of Jones, Brewer or Smith can explode for 25 points and turn the game around.

The of course, James Harden who can almost singlehandedly win us games by himself.

 

I disagree with your odds there, sir. However unlikely, there's always a chance.

We're a good 1st qtr team. If we start well and maintain with the bench through the 2nd into half (which we don't always do), we got a shot.

In the game 1 game thread guy predicted a player would get hurt and it would seriously impact the series in a crazy way. I thought it would be a GS player then Dwight got hurt. I was ticked because I'm usually good with these things. Then of course Curry gets hurt in game 4... that broke it. Warriors were so lucky until that happened.

if dwight gets a T or flagrant tonite and we lose, does he get suspended for the first game of next season?

 

Optimistic as usual DD.

 

I don't know. I think those flagrant foul points are only for the playoffs. The worst thing would be if he gets flagrant/T and we win and he gets suspended for next game. Dwight needs to control himself. No excuses.
