A win tonight would give the Rockets their most playoff wins in a season since 1995.

 

Tonight, my Rocket brethren, the streets of Oakland will tremble with doubt. When the buzzer sounds on Game 5 of the 2015 Western Conference Finals showing the Rockets as victorious, fear will be setting in for all Golden State players and fans. "This couldn't happen to us, could it?" - will be the prevailing question resonating in the bay area tonight.

Tonight, opportunity presents itself. Opportunity to once again make history. Not to win the series, that will come, but to force a Game 6 after being down 3-0.

Great moments, my friends, are born from great opportunity.

Can you feel it? I do. Its in the air. Confidence... the Rockets now have it. When confidence meets opportunity, great moments happen.

Considering how the Rockets responded in Game 3 to the GS lead (and at home, no less), I don't think they have the mental toughness to survive a big 1st quarter run by GS at home. So, the first goal has to be: keep that from happening. Hard-nosed defense.

Assuming Harden doesn't have a bad game, role players/bench give them the best chance of forcing a Game 6. But don't expect it. The Warriors want no part of returning to Houston for another game.

If these guys could just muster the energy and focus to play the whole game as if it is the last 5 minutes of the game and they are trailing by 1-2 points, then they will have at least given their best effort. Anything less and they shouldn't complain if their season ends tonight. (Or to put it another way, if they play a bit like they have gone berserk, attacking the paint and finishing as if they are a machine-like Terminator, who knows? A machine that just never stops and keeps coming can be very unsettling.) IF they could do this, the Warriors might be thinking like the famous line from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid -- "WHO ARE THOSE GUYS?!"

Excellent. Its great to read positive posts here for a change...but as soon as the game starts, the haters will move in and do their thing. Game threads are better not to be read during the game...before and after cause the haters come out full force during the game itself.
