I agree with that. I feel like George Hill would be the perfect PG for us, but Indiana is probably going to see what they have with Paul George back first before they make any moves. What do you think about Lowry?

Mike Conley is literally the best fit you could have next to Harden at the PG spot. We would likely never be able to get him here, but man it is nice to dream.

Yes George Hill is perfect. Bird loves him a lot as he should, esp considering the price they paid to get him, but he will be exactly what the Rockets want from a pg next to Harden. He's under contract until 2017 if I remember.
But Indy will have to be enticed to trade him and commit to the rebuild. They are looking to rebuild while contending right now. I'm not sure that a package of Jones + 18 can convince Bird. Maybe if Hibbert opts in it will help, but if he opts out I dont' see how they will trade him. They will have capspace to get another free agent and contend again, in the East.
Lowry is not as good playmaker as Lawson but has better defence - doesn't say much.
I am concerned about his weight and back problems and his character. Someone told me in another thread that he created problems while he was in Houston before as he did now in Toronto.

Conley isn't available. He will be a UFA next summer and if everything goes well without any injury, he will look to get a max contract. With the Grizzlies.
There isn't anything that the Rockets have to offer to Memphis to convince them to trade Conley.

Morey should be looking for an elite coach for our guards right now. They have no instruction and are left to their own devices. It sometimes works and usually doesn't, unless Harden's on that night and doing it all himself. Beverley has the tenacity to be great, but he has no coaching on how to be a point guard in the NBA, so he's really a non-factor except on the defensive end (and he needs to clean that up as well).

I'd also put Larry Winget, tough-words motivational speaker, on speed dial to yell at the team every time they forget what the word "defense" means and/or shoot free throws like the world biggest heap of ass.

When our players play to their full potentials, and it's STILL not happening, THEN go get some better ones. Alternatively, seek out the mentally tough, consistent, professional ones if you want to make player moves now.

Finally, I'd be knocking on the door of the layup-and-free-throw dungeon (that exists, right; DON'T steal my idea if it doesn't) with most of our team chained together in tow.

At that point you just show up at Josh Smith's door step. He's way better than David Lee. David Lee is polished offensively but plays absolutely no defense. And I can't believe as critical of Harden as you are you want David Lee.

If anything, we've learned we need more defense, not less. David Lee would be a serious downgrade from the power forwards we currently have.

This is literally the only person mentioned in this entire thread that outright puzzles me. There are many restricted free agents there is no chance we could get, but I understand why people want them. But David Lee leaving the rotation (and Draymond Green replacing him brilliantly) is pretty much the number one reason the Warriors became elite. And you want that guy? You never cease to amaze me, DaDakota.

He can shoot, but otherwise he is useless. D-Mo is a better player than him. His outside shot is getting better as well.

    wow...Bargnani? David Lee?
I posted some pages ago for people to lower their expectations but I didn't expect for them to reach THAT low.

Try to get Augustin from OKC. 3M 2yrs. He is a competent PG. I think he can fit in with Harden.

    Dunleavy and Danny Green please.

Put some shooters for Harden to play PNR with.

Rockets would be up 3-1 in this series had both been on the squad to replace Brewer and Terry.

Green would be a godsend for this team. Is there any possibility the Rockets could get him? I don't even know what his market value would be, somewhere around $10mil/per? I wonder if we would toy with the idea of running a backcourt of Green and Harden. Green would have to have the ability to somewhat run the point, but you could have Harden handle most of the responsibility on the offensive end. Have Green guard the point or SG depending on the matchup, and have Harden take the weakest wing threat. Hmmm would be interesting. I don't watch enough Spurs games to know, but does Green have any playmaking ability?

These should be our FA targets (after LMA), and then the goal should be trade for star PG or PF. I think you let Brewer go and roll with KJ Mc, but PG will be the biggest question mark with Bev(?), Terry coming back (?), Lull (?), trading for a PG (?), drafting a PG (?).

No. Green is a 3 and D player. He's fantastic on the catch-and-shoot 3 pointer. He thrives when there are off-ball picks set for him, and he can turn the corner, catch the ball, and shoot in one fluid motion. You cannot expect him to create anything off the dribble.
