So...we're getting mauled from the 3 point line by GS, and saw this year that the 4 teams that made the conference finals were in the top 5 in 3 point shooting (with the 5th being the team that took us to 7 games in the semis)...and you want to go away from the 3 ball?

If anything, we need more consistent shooting.

What are we gonna give the Bucks for Middleton? He's basically one of their young core. We have nothing they would want in return...

He's getting the max or crazy close to it. We don't need another SF on a big contract. It's just not a pressing need.

I like Middleton too. Maybe Danny Green or Bellinelli will be a cheaper option.

Danny Green is the perfect fit. He can guard 1-3 and is a knock down three point shooter. He just might be a little expensive ($10-12M?), but probably worth it if we don't lose too many assets in a potential S&T.

Actually the left over teams are all top 3pt teams and top in the paint teams.

True. They have been seeking shooters since the Yao days.... and they have found few

Delfino comes to my mind.... Not many shooters that can shoot over 40% consistently

Why are so many people offering up obvious names who are RFA's who have no chance of being let go by their team?

Yeah Butler and Middleton are a definite no-go. Danny Green has a chance if the Spurs go for a big leap on LMA and Timmy/Manu don't take huge cuts. Still very unlikely though. Decent RFAs just don't leave often. Parsons was the exception, not the rule.

I like Middleton but any team that offers him a max contract is nuts.

With the cap rising and Milwaukee not exactly being a hot spot for free agents, it seems like the smart thing to do is lock up talent when you have it. It may not be the max, but I think it'll be close.

Kris is a good target, but will cost too much.

Honestly trying to resign the current role players will be key. We forget how Brewer and Smith were not even on the team from training camp and how many games all the players missed.

Yes, the team has overcome a lot of that, but with the style offense they choose to play -- spacing, free-flow, pace -- you have sort of know what each of your teammates wants to do, does well, and where he wants the pass, etc. You have to have familiarity and 100% trust. Yes, you build that playing during the season, but it take time for that to truly gel and become instinct with no issues (fewer TO's).

Under the radar free agents I want them to go after would be are CJ Watson,
Dorell Wright, & Alexis Ajinca. All young free agents who have played well in specific roles. The wings have decent shot and can play some defense. Ajinca is a good hustle guy who decent defense/rebounding and even some range to the 3pt.

Would still love to see some sort of trade for Ryan Andersen.

Aaron Brooks is available. He'd be a great backup PG for Beverley. To be honest, I'd be happy with that rotation at PG. It's hard to replace the intangibles of a guy like Brewer but I think we may need a better offensive SF coming off the bench for us as well.

Remember though that we've gotten this far without Beverley in the playoffs. I think we all agree that he would have been a huge addition to this team if he were healthy. I think we should definitely sign him, especially if he can improve his 3pt game one more time to become a consistent 3pt shooter he'll be worth re-signing as a starter or backup. This was probably his worst season, I think he'll be better next year.

Morey is not going to overpay for Bev. I think someone else is going to overpay.

I made a thread about this in the dish already: but Kent Bazemore would be an excellent under the radar pick up.
