She was given a brutal death SPECIFICALLY because she told the show runner she didn't want to do any more nudity lol. She or the show runner, can't recall who anymore, confirmed she was supposed to be a longer running character.
Well Cersei is crazy stupid, and she provoked House Tyrell because she saw herself losing power to the new queen. Regarding the 5 kings (Joffrey, Robb, Renly, Stannis, Balon), 3 are dead, Tommen takes over for Joffrey. I'm guessing from the show Balon's been neutralized by Ramsay, and everyone else got owned at the Red Wedding, leaving just Stannis vs the Lannisters. Really, Dorne was the only wrinkle left now that Stannis is so far north prior to all the religious stuff.
Regarding Edmure and Riverrun. Kind of a spoiler, but not really. Spoiler In the books, Jaime doesn't go to Dorne. He goes to the Riverrun deal with hostilities between the Frey's and Tully's after the Red Wedding. I'm guessing this isn't going to be on the show. Still. More detailed, actual book spoiler which may or may not be on the show. Spoiler The Blackfish still holds Riverrun but the Frey's are laying seige to it while threatening every day to hang Edmure unless they surrender. Jaime tries to parley with the Blackfish but can't convince him to release Rivverun. Jaime then releases Edmure and offers him a deal. As the rightful Lord of Riverrun, Edmure enters the castle and surrenders, but allowing the Blackfish and his men to escape in the process. Edmure goes on to be a Lannister hostage at Casterly Rock. Most of the other River Lords had already bent the knee to King Tommen. If Edmure hadn't agreed to the deal, Jaime would have had them join the seige, destroy the castle, and kill everybody inside.
I think a big part of some of the changes they make is the budgetary decision not to show big battles. It doesn't make sense to me how a show like Vikings (good show) can do battles much more frequently. Do they have a bigger budget than GOT? Is the Battle of the Blackwater the only real battle we've had on screen? Can't have House Tyrell lay siege to King's Landing without an army.
House Tyrell . . .. could simply stop sending food, supplies and support. Remember what Tywin said about mines of Casterly Rock Rocket River
If you are upset by a remarkable pair of breasts, you're Game of Thronesing wrong. On rewatch, I see that we ALSO got Chekhov's Medieval Corkscrew! Hopefully it's introduced to Ramsay's face in the third act. Or better yet, perhaps Sansa could stab Walda with it, right in the womb! Jesus. This is what Game of Thrones has done to my hopes.
Have you seen the casting news for season 6? .... just maybe. Starts with and E, and involves and eye patch.
t*** are great but the best scenes in GOT are the ones with political posturing between the power brokers, it's the dialog that is really great. There were three great quotable lines in this episode that are universal truths.... but I forgot them exactly and will have to rewatch it to quote it. Oh.... one was from the Head Sparrow about "when the many are no longer afraid of the few". It seems the natural progression of oligarchy or plutocracy that eventually, when the conditions of the many are desperate and the few are privileged, it's a ripe time for revolution.
The Vikings battles are like 20 people running at each other and thats it. GoT battles are sieges of cities and castles.........
Also, GOT is shot in various locations at once. The logistical cost of it all is staggering, believe this year they shot in Scotland, Spain and a few other locals. Most shows only have 1 or 2 locals with smaller cast.
Kings Landing and Meereen are shot in two different cities in Croatia. Just visited Dubrovnik where they film Kings Landing, absolutely amazing.
There are t*** in the book and in the show I hope that is not too big of a spoiler Rocket River in the book you could not see them . . only imagine them I hope that is not too big of a spoiler . . .
I'd rather see 18 year old t*** than read a 66 year old mans description of 18 year old t***. Seriously though, GRRM's writing about sex acts is kind of cringeworthy.
Go ahead and read them now that there is such a wide divide between then show and the source material. Then you could stop whining about provocative spoiler tags.
