Angels and Seattle lost today as well! Way close out this series. Here's to hoping the summer closing in brings more butts to the ballpark, too.
Split a series on the road, against one of the best, without your ace going in the series, and your best hitter slumping. I'll take it.
Angels lost to a struggling team, the Red Sox. Right now is a 6.5 game lead. Once Obi is ready, Hernandez goes to the bullpen???? Long reliever
Yes, and said that with that contract, difficult. Now, Hernandez contract is not a big one, Feldman is still 1 1/2 years. Hernandez was pitching good, with not much stuff. He is not a good pitcher, Obi is better. Hernandez is a career 4.60 ERA with a whip over 1.40. Obi is a career .384 ERA with whip of 1.30 Now, Feldman, career 4.51 ERA with a whip of 1.39. Feldman and Hernandez are equally BAD, Obi is better than BOTH. Who will stay? Feldman, why? The contract. But we can't carry 2 number 5 starters on this team, we need Mc to continue to pitch good, and Obi to get healthy
I like a rotation of: 1. Keauchel 2. McHugh 3. McCuller 4. Obie 5. Feldman Is a pity that Straily is unable to pitch as he did with the A's 2 years ago.
Feldman has a 4.13 FIP this year, and a 4.02 FIP over the last 5 seasons. Hernandez has a 4.95 FIP this year, and a 4.77 FIP over the last 5 seasons, and that was before getting roughed up today. The have not been equally bad, Feldman has been consistently better. The only only difference is that Hernandez has been having good luck with the BABIP (.261), versus bad luck for Feldman (.328). Fausto has terrible K/BB numbers and has been living on borrowed time. You are right that Obie is better than both though.
I like the rotation of Keuchel Pitcher X McHugh Profit??? Oberholtzer/McCullers/Hernandez/Feldman/Wojo/Peacock
Keuchel Pitcher X McHugh Oberholtzer Feldman I would be happy with that rotation, I'm a big fan of Pitcher X. I also think Obie is rock solid, just gotta get healthy.
What do they want? Hell if I know. Nobody special, but a 3-for-2 of solid players could do it. He's a good bet to re-sign here, which is one big reason why I like him.
