Qualls deserved better than that. Three weak ass hits and one up the middle if anywhere else would have been fielded. Sometimes it just be's like that.
Got zero help from his infield. Marwin is a Jeter-level SS and Valbuena picked a bad time to try the matador routine at 3B.
Lineup vs lefty below. Glad to see Tucker in for Rasmus since he's better vs southpaw. 1. Jose Altuve (R) 2B 2. Jonathan Villar (S) 3B 3. George Springer (R) RF 4. Evan Gattis (R) DH 5. Preston Tucker (L) LF 6. Chris Carter (R) 1B 7. Jason Castro (L) C 8. Marwin Gonzalez (S) SS 9. Jake Marisnick (R) CF
Via ROOT Altuve's last 12 games Avg: .167 Hits-At Bats: 8-48 Extra base hits: 2 Stolen bases: 3 Stirkeouts: 5 Walks: 2 OBP: .216 (27) Wins: .339 avg, .389 OBP, 19 runs (16) Losses: .226 avg, .284 OBP, 3 runs Astros 5-9 when he doesn't get a hit.
Do we really need to play Villar as often as we do? He is just a liability in the field at this point.
here we go again with Villar I have no idea what is this clown doing in the majors Lefty pitching? I dont care, Valbuena needs to play, unless you bring Correa up
Good lord. How LMC didn't have to deal with traffic from defense by the end of that inning is amazing. Was his GB% good in the minors? Can't recall.
Some errors just happen, they're a part of the game. Errors due to poor fundamentals, like Villar's footwork fielding that ball, are a tad infuriating.
lol at Marwin's situational hitting. Pitcher walks 3 guys in a row, and Marwin of course swings away at the first pitch to him. I hate these Marwin/Villar lineups - Correa and the return of Lowrie will be a welcome change in July.
