    Correa would have called timeout.

Singleton had himself another great night. 3 more hits including a home run and a double to go along with a walk and another night without striking out. Phenomenal.

I'll be shocked if Singleton doesn't get a chance at Carter's spot in the next 2 weeks.

What happens with Santana? Part of trade? I really hate to see these guys just sitting in Triple-A but obviously you can't just put a bunch of guys in their early 20s into the lineup all at once.

anyone been watching/ able to diagnose the situation with appel?

    4.7 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, .300 BAA, 30.2 IP, 16 ER, 23:14 K/BB...

Just a rough patch or is there reason to worry?

Singleton has potential to be Ryan Howard.

Hoping he has improved. I mentioned this before but he has noticeably cut some weight.

My assumption is that work ethic has taken over.

Dan Mengden just had his scoreless streak snapped at 27.2 innings up in Quad Cities.

Luhnow's front office has had a LOT of success identifying high school players that develop into great prospects.

Nottingham probably approaching top 15 if he's not there already.

Nottingham finished 4-5 to push his average to .316.

Dan Mengden: 5 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 4 K. He lowered his ERA to 1.16 as Quad Cities throttled Peoria 8-1. That 1.16 ERA is 2nd in the Midwest League.
