Brewer-Harden-Ariza-TJ-Dwight What is the general consensus on this? A lot of it was to maximize our ability to trap Curry with length and quickness, but how would it work in other situations? BTW, props to mchale for going with this
Helped us defensively. Hurt us offensively as there was no secondary playmaker on the floor and they collapsed on Harden.
Helps defensively, hurts offensively. Good coaching by McHale there, subbing them in and out to get the best matchups down the stretch. On offense Corey Brewer is a big negative unless it's on the break.
I wouldn't have minded seeing Smith swapped out for Jones. Smith has come up big in the 4th quarter as of late; and yeah, he chucked up a ridiculous amount of shots early, but he has shown the tenacity to close out games and bear that responsibility (Round 2, Game 6? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?)
I didn't mind Brewer on Curry so much though. His length did irritate him a bit, it was those screens and switches that Curry was able to capitalize on.
