That's what I think too, Kevin McHale should've called time out the moment Dwight got the ball instead of a 3 point shooter

Makes no sense with 8 seconds left in the game. No margin for error, call timeout take the shot at 3 seconds to allow for a tip. Stupid, plain and simply stupid by McHale

Simple: McHale trusted his superstar to make a play, Harden thought he could do something while the defense was not set. That no timeout was all Harden's decision.

Sick to my stomach. Why did Harden pass the ball to Howard in transition near the 3 point line? Wasn't Jones open near the backet. Just ****ing unfortunate

I was fine with the no timeout... give them time to set up, who's to say they cannot keep the ball out of Harden's hands again. Harden gave up the ball to Howard, but he was too far out to shoot and because NOBODY else was moving to get open, he had no choice but to give it back to Harden.

The whole team just put it all on Harden's shoulders right then just like they had all game long. I put this loss on the other players.

And if McHale had called timeout as Harden was racing up the floor and the rockets failed to score after the timeout you all would be calling for McHales head for not giving harden a chance at the fastbreak. If another rocket other than harden got that rebound the timeout would have been called. Harden should have called a timeout after the first trap instead of passing to Dwight.

Nope. I guarantee Kerr would have loved for the Rockets to call a timeout in that situation. He must have been $hitting bricks watching Harden flying up the court with a full head of steam.

It just didn't work out for us.

Unfortunately Harden turned his head at the wrong moment. He was heavily distracted by that double team and was trying to get free to take a shot. The whole point with gambling on no timeout is to beat them down the floor. In the pic it's 4 on 5 with Howard trailing the play. Time to call a TO.

just watched in real time, really, really tight window. Would have liked to see a TO after he hesitated. Oh well.

I am not upset with not calling a timeout as much as I am with the Rockets getting back slowly.

It was great D by GS

Too bad harden didn't see Jones who could have swung it for Brewer for a game winning dunk.

    That would have been magical!

I think the second he passed to howard he McHale should of called a timeout. Unbelievable.

I agree, run and see if you can catch the defense off guard but the Warriors got back, McHale still had the chance to see the play develop and attempt to call a time out, there were 2.5 seconds left. I would taken my chances.

This, plus things had been rolling.

This is a classic hindsight thread.

I don't know if i'm reaching but I need to see a screen shot of Curry reaching in. I have a hard time believing Harden "loses" the ball from that double team. If that wasn't Curry defending Harden i'm pretty sure that gets called.
