I'm fully aware of ESPN bias but it feels like this is on another level. You're so right, it's weird. Twilight Zone weird.
I guarantee if we win this game the narrative will be "what do the Warriors have to do to get back on track?" They will say things like "give credit to Houston for battling", as if we are some scrappy underdog that doesn't belong in the same league as GS. The "narrative" issue in the media has never been more obvious. I've already unfollowed Spears, and am getting dangerously close to doing the same with Amick and Stein.
Just been avoiding ESPN till the games starts. If the Rockets lose, change the channel to avoid the lovefest. If the Rockets win, change the channel to avoid the BS reasons why the Rockets won.
ESPN and TNT spend waaaaayyyyy to much money for the rights to NBA Playoffs to let that happen. It's part of the problem with ESPN and the ilk. They used to cover sports but not broadcast them. Once you do both you can no longer trusted as a reputable news agency.
ESPN only talks rocksts to point out what's wrong with us. If we win tonight we'll get a 3 min recap of the game followed by a 1 min segment from Bruce Bowen then on to other sports lebron and of course Steph curry. Atleast when they all about lebron all the time I can respect that because he's a 4x mvp multiple champion and been to the finals 5 freaking times. Also a arguably a top 5 player altime. Wtf has curry done prior to this year? Ohh Ya taken the Warriors as far as harden has. Lol this is too funny harden has his team as far as curry hardens younger bigger more athletic can actually dunk than freaking ball lol. Harden gets no love at all I swear if he played on the Lakers he absolutely wouod have won mvp this year. Dudes a lot better player than curry and I admit curry is no slouch. Put harden with that talent and see what happens. Harden the closet thing to lebron we've ever seen, the numbers are getting very very close. And he's only 25 he just scored 28 on 55% shooting with 11 and 9 and 4 stls. I'm so sick of the curry slurp fest he's really good and a face of the NBA but by no means is he THE face of te NBA. That player is still lebron. I almost wish KD was still playing atleast I can get behind the idea that he's better than harden but not some 6'3 175lb pg that shoots 10 3s a game. Let's wax these fools win the next 4 and get this prima donnas out of here. I hate Kerr too he looks like a rehabilitated crack head. Seriously.
'blah blah blah steph currys kid blah blah is it appropriate blah blah blah is he the greatest shooter of all time blah blah.... oh btw dwight is starting NEXT UP IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLAYER LEBRON!?!?!?!' this is a joke.
Please beat the stupid warriors, and can't take anymore of this curry dick sucking. Beyond ridiculous
Doug Collins: we are so enamored with golden states offense that we forget (thinking he will bring up Houston) that golden state has excellent defense also....
Grantland article after Game 7 vs the Clippers: "History is written by the victors, and in the alternate timeline in which the Clippers weren’t decapitated by the Rockets in the final three games of the series, maybe we’d revise their story to put a positive spin on their Achilles’ heel. Something like: They were the shallowest team in the playoffs, and it was all by design. It was all just one long episode of Doomsday Preppers. Those countless runs forfeited by the reserves were famine simulations. The trauma of Game 6 against the Rockets became a rallying cry: survive the Spurs, survive this, and you can survive anything. In end times, you can rely on only those you can trust. The Clippers bench — a round of Russian roulette with a revolver that’s got five loaded chambers — was anything but trustworthy. It was high-stakes survival training. But we could call it that only if they’d survived. They didn’t. " Pretty obvious that this guy had already written a piece anticipating a Clippers victory, and then couldn't be bothered to write something new when the Rockets won. That kind of reporting is just going on and on.
ESPN is planning an all-day Steph Cam for game 3. The idea is to show a day in the life of an NBA player on the day of an important close-out game. In the morning, they'll go with him to an area soup kitchen where he'll visit homeless while teaching them how to sink 50-foot jumpers. Next, Steph, Riley and Riley's agent will all go get mani-pedis while discussing Riley's next product placement opportunity, and Steph will show Riley and Riley's agent how to sink jumpers while simultaneously getting some spray-tan. After that, Steph will return Riley to the modeling agency for some plastic surgery tough-ups, then jet to make a quick stopoff at Rice University where he'll give a visiting lecture on Ancient Tribal Civilizations. While the coeds bat their eyelashes with "Steph" written on their eyelids, Steph will show them how to sink jumpers while properly formatting an MLA bibliography. Next Steph will make a visit out to NASA where Steph is going to visit with the scientists and engineers there, brighten their days, share some of his thoughts on improvements to their reaching Mars thing, and also make 842 three-pointers in a row. From Space! Finally, Steph will go to Mark Rothko's secular chapel, where he will convert all present into devout believers as he retrieves Stuart Scott from the Great Beyond, does an adorable interview with Curry's triplet (another 3, swish!) granddaughters from the future: Smiley, Dimples, and Puddinbutton. Steph will end by showing Stu how to drain 3's from Peter's Gates--BOO YOW! The day will finish with a still shot of Steph, sleeping angelically, glorious head on pillow just barely, ever so slightly, aglow from his aura. The breathy tones of Tom Rinaldi orating soft lullabyes and emotion-piano. In the background, out of focus, but still discernable...The 4 Larry O'Brien Trophies from Steph's 2014-15 season. Amen. Dunh-nuh-nuh, dunh-nuh-nuh.
Such a shame. I like Curry's game. I like his personality. But can't help but HATE him since the media fawns over him like this. It's just funny, that in normal logic I'd like him but now feel this way just because of BSPN (and the fact he's playing my rockets).
