I don't think that is accurate I think a better comparison would be Chipotle. Responsible and tolerable, nothing special, but they do things the right way
Call it a Godsend. I mean, yes, she can sing, but her songs.....like nails on a chalkboard for me, so sorry. But I'll give her credit. Insanely successful.
But... McDonalds used to own Chipotle. Regardless, Swift is cute enough. She is not particularly sexy but that would cut into her teenage girl audience.
If you don't listen to top 40 stations or mainstream music, it isn't tough to avoid her, or other terrible pop acts. Where you get creep and crossover is YouTube, TV, sports and advertisements.
They did. Maxim is struggling. My son somehow got a subscription to it and it's all booze and tobacco ads.
She doesn't throw in pop culture icons--Starbucks isn't a lyric. She started as a country artist. You're being critical of the type of music she wrote as a 12-14 year old? Yes, she started to write some very crossover-ish music on her middle albums...I don't think that was her "effort" to be a country singer like you're describing it to be some forced thing. She came out as a country singer in her early teens and evolved as a human--it tends to happen at that age.
Never thought she was that hot, but lately has looked incredible. I guess i like that cleaner girl image in a world of tattoos, collagen in the lips and needing to be trashy and shocking in order to be relevant. No one can rival 2014's winner Candice Swanapoel though. Her and Irina Shayk are goddesses.
Right, that's kind of what I was getting at. I know who these people - Lady Gaga, Bieber, Miley Cirus, Drake, etc... - are, but I have no idea how or why I know who these people are. I've never heard their music, never heard them speak, nothing. I was wondering if I'm weird or just 40.
Pretty sure you are totally out of the loop if you haven't heard any Taylor Swift music. It's literally everywhere
Obviously I don't want to be, and actually I actively avoid, being in you loop. It takes all kinds though, so rock (or pop) on.
Sorry do not like the sausage lips of Mrs. Shayk. More into M.Kerr type.... Just personal preference. I am all for cleaner look though
As I stated, TV shows and advertisements is literally the only place I've heard her music... and I'm on the internet 12+ hours a day. I don't listen to top 40 or pop radio stations, and I don't watch awards shows. It isn't hard to avoid her.
