Capela was playing so well that steve kerr hoped off the bench the quickest he had all postseason in the 1st quarter to call a timeout.. maybe that should have been a clue to mchale to stay with the hot hand

Don't see it happening, but would be interested to know the Knicks interest in Capela or DMo + #18 for #4, if both Towns and Okafor are gone. Probably cost another future 1st and their 2nd, but for Russel or Mudiay, I'd do it.

Capela has very scary potential. He already has that natural defensive instinct...and right now he is terrific with the P&R...

Whats crazy is how quickly he has learned his positioning...how to get big without leaving your feet on the perimeter...whoever is teaching him is doing a terrific job!

One last point...yes his goal should be to get a bigger build this summer. But more than that, I think his lanky frame gives his legs that springy-ness.

Capela still has sooooo much to prove. I can see him shocking the world tomorrow night with a 20/20 stat line.

Why would you give up a #2 (Capela at WORST) plus more for a #4???

The temptation is there, but don't do it. Morey should try to get DJ Augustin 3M 2 Years, from OKC. Offer them the 18th and the 32nd plus K-Pap's contract, and take back Lamb.

In this way, we get to retain Capela, D-Mo, and Jones too.

I'm not typically a thread starter or the jealous type but I am a little pissed that this thread has 8 pages so far while my incredible thread simply titled Clint only has 5.

McHale is likely Scottish or Irish. Wild guess tho.

One of the reasons Harden does this is that Capela's hands and touch are clearly better than Dwight's. I am not trying to diss Dwight who I love, but it is clear.

The announcers used to always proclaim the strength of Hakeem's hands and Harden's. I wonder if Capela can develop this hand strength, as he has the ball slapped out of his hands too often. I am not an expert, but suspect hand stregth is easier to develop with touch being more innate.

I see a Deandre Jordan/Serge Ibaka mixture. Not as good a shooter as Ibaka but not as bad as Jordan either. Elite defensive potential and double digit rebounder.

Elite defensive potential and double digit rebounding are a given, lets see if Capela can form an offensive game. He has the soft touch and techniques to show that he can improve his offensive game.

On a per-minute basis and against lesser players Capela is looking better at 20-21 than Mutombo at 27 (blasphemy). Their first respective playoff performances:

More blocks, maybe fewer or equal rebounds. Ibaka's jumper will be better than his, even if Capela develops it. Capela has more offensive potential on the low block than him.

I think Capela might develop into a better Tyson Chandler at best.
