I'm normally not. I'm still a self-admitted flaming and unashamed homer. Always will be. Injuries just bum the hell out of me. Can't handle them. It's one thing to get beat. To get robbed because of something like injuries and bad luck just ruins me. Rockets can still win, and hopefully Dwight gets healthy fast, but against the Warriors, we needed EVERYTHING we have, and naturally...Game 1...injury to our star. So typical. So tired of it.
Yeah, and look how that turned out. It's important that he doesn't rush back if he's going to be ineffective or hurt himself worse in the process. We don't have enough information to know what the injury is exactly - I'm sure the Rockets do - and therefore saying he should rest/play is all based on conjecture
I'm not sure why people think they can determine when and what a player should be playing through. Let alone without any information about the severity of the sprain.
As we always say, Smoove giveth and he taketh. In this case, he took more than he ever gave in his entire career.
I'm no one to tell anyone to do this but when/if you pray for health keep Dwight in your thoughts CF!
people want him to play and then those people would bash him for not playing great like how he has been and struggling out there let the big man rest and try to come out for game 3. see what Capela can offer us as a starter
Amazing how many folks bash Smith and Howard and were the same one's wanting to give them both a hand job ASAP right after Game 6 Clippers game...Jeez
Totally agree. To question Howard's heart and desire at this point is ridiculous. I'm willing to bet he wants to win just as much if not more than everyone else in that locker room. The potential agent part of this does rub me the wrong way, and I hope there's not really anything to that. A decision to play or not should be based on the medical team and what Howard himself feels he can do. I have full faith that if he thinks he can contribute without risking further serious damage, he will play at some point. If he can't go then it sucks, but I'm not going to sit here and question his desire when we really know very little about the extent of the injury. He has been a beast for us this postseason and has shown a ton of heart. I'm behind the big guy and this team, whatever the outcome. They've both made me very proud to be a Rox fan during these playoffs.
Jenny Dial Creech is discussing the injury on ESPN radio momentarily: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?s=espn Hopefully that link works.
Jenny says she "definitely" expects him back, FWIW. Talked a lot about how the Rockets feel like they let one slip away last night.
They'd be correct. Rockets were the better team last night. They just allowed 2-3 untimely mistakes that you simply can't do against GSW.
Well, you just hope Capela can come on the scene and rise up and be DMos "replacement". Hopefully Prigs and Jet continue to produc3.
I hope he's ready. I want to win this series but not so bad I want Howard to do some permanent damage to his career.
