This makes Game 1 hurt bad. We had it, and it would have been just fine letting Game 2 slip. Now it's almost a must win to stay in it.
we got killed on boards after dwights injury…..i mean even their festival ezealius scrub was killing us on both ends……if dwight can come back for game 3 and just be regular season dwight, that might be all we need
The Warriors are lucky as heck. Maybe this is their year. Staying healthy is a big part of winning a chip. Kudos to them. God is fair. What they did on court will come back to bite them one day.
Regular season Dwight was playing with a bone bruise. This is a sprain. The former is just a matter of sucking up pain, but the latter involves instability in the joint. It's a completely different mindset, IMO.
realistically speaking noone had an idea how exactly the matchups and the games would work until we got to see them on the court on Game 1. No matter expert or fans opinions. The Rockets are still the underdogs but Game 1 should make a lot of so called experts swallow their tongues. It is the playoffs. It is basketball. A lot of things dont show on paper like will to fight, experience, energy etc etc. And game 2 if the team goes out to play like they did in Game 1 is winnable without Dwight. When exactly will it be worth it for a player to play on a sprain 1st degree if not at the conference finals, and pretty much the REAL championship finals? There is a ring at stake. So I'm sure that Dwight himself sees this as "worth it" and will do everything possible.
Yeah, that's how I feel. It's a sprain and he's going to need rest on it unfortunately. I mean I do say sitting Dwight is conceding, but I know this team will fight until they are done and forced to go home. Maybe Capela will bring it home for us and maybe Jones will play better. yeah, and that's why I'd rather him sit if the option of him playing is to have a major injury. If he goes out and tears a ligament and now we are suddenly looking at 2 seasons with all that wasted cap space pretty much. With 2 starters down already...you have to make the tough decision that OKC has found themselves one too many times already. Go all in now with a small chance to beat another great team that happens to be at full strength...or just realize that hey, get healthy Dwight for next season. Maybe thought Dwight can play well in short 2-3 mins stretches...guess we'll see. But Dwight without the explosion is pretty much Asik it feels like.
Whether or not he plays game 2 (he likely will), "playoff Dwight" is a thing of the past this season. BUT.. that doesn't mean we can't still win. Guys have to step up, especially with rebounding. We can do this. Just gotta hold serve at home and hopefully we can steal game 2 or 5 at their place.
lol what they did ? Kill an innocent human so they deserve to have their team plagued with injuries and their franchice demolished? Or there is a justification for every upcoming injury and god intervenes to set things straight? I wonder what Livingston and Brandon Roy did to deserve their "punishments".
i agree, mfastx. you just summed up what i have in mind. cant wait to see how this series will unfold for us.
