That's ridiculous. Bogut gets every year injured during the playoffs and Curry has glass ankles. THIS year they are lucky SO FAR but don't generalise like they are some sweet luck franchice with never a serious injury to their main guy.
Honestly, who thought we could take Game 1 and/or 2 in GS? Let's rest him game 2 and let him rest for Saturday. That's 3 days rest. Our guys played without Howard for most of the season and it can be argued that at times we played better. Let's bank on our guys doing well in a tough environment. Maybe steal one. Series isn't over after game 2.
You HAVE to start Dorsey now IMO. It's the only way he can get minutes as he can't play late in quarters due to hack-a. You start Dorsey and bring Capela in off the bench. I'd play Dorsey 15-18 minutes and give Capela 30 minutes. When Capela is in you run plenty of PnR with him and either Harden or Smith.
But that's not the case. We need to improve our roster next season someway or another. Maybe T Jones improves? Do we bank on DMO/Bev to come back and help? Tough decisions ahead, but I think Morey will bolster the team.
my heart agrees entirely. but my head keeps reminding me the moment when chuck heys bumped into yao's knee.
And these Rockets are not done, even without Dwight. I'll say it again, they won 27 games without Dwight. Harden now has a chance to go beast mode. We may need 45 points from him tomorrow, but I think he can do it. Harden drives should be the default play. Harden could easily have a line like 45/12/10 tomorrow if he's on.
The team did and the players on the court did. That's why they didn't give up at any point and fought until the end. And as fans we should believe the same. Esp after Game 1 with or without Dwight.
Ok. Let's just go over things without Dwight. What if we started Brewer? Harden Brewer (up minutes) Ariza Smith Capella (up minutes) Bench Jones (up minutes) Terry K PAP Dorsey I think this could work.
Realistically speaking and yes I do believe in the team... not what I was talking about. Yes, we had a shot but TO's and lack of hustle on boards/execution did us in. We can win game 2, but Howard playing on an injury isn't worth it. Rest the big guy up.
