I'd love to see what Capela could do with 30 mins of play time. I'd love more to have Dwight healthy.
Understandably so. If there is a chance that he can tear something than sit him out and basically concede. I say this because we are without Beverly...without Dmo...maybe it just wasn't our year but we made the most of it. Lets get right for next season. Not saying to give up, but if the option for Dwight is to try and play through this and risk further injury then nope. Sit out. It seems trying to beat the Warriors is to spite the basketball gods or something any ways.
I disagree. Their last 3-peat had a rigged game 6 against the Kings and finals against Iverson & friends and the Nets. They also got one of the most one sided trades in the history of the league to get Gasol. On second thought that might just be the league looking out. Who needs luck when the association has your back? Slight Sarcasm.
sitting dwight out of a game (if that happens) doesnt automatically mean we concede. cant understand the mentality of some of y'all.
Pau Gasol trade also included the rights to Marc Gasol. It didn't turn out to be quite as lopsided as you may think.
It's not conceding. But it puts the Rockets at a severe disadvantage. If they did win Game 2 in Oakland with Capela starting at center, it would be the story of the year.
I didn't mean sit him out a game. I meant the series. If his future health is in jeopardy then absolutely we should. He's still under contract for next season and already being out two starters you have to ask if this is too high a mountain to climb. Having him go at 60% (and we see how effective he is playing hurt) and risking a major injury is not worth our entire season next year. Him sitting out a game is not going to make it better, it's a knee sprain. I think it's weeks at minimum that he's healthy from t hat.
i see what you're saying now, and i totally agree. i am kinda leaning towards if he's not at 100% (or at least 90%), then sit him out until he is. if this means the entire series, so be it. ride capela, take what luck gives. and even if a whole series is indeed the case, we still have a chance to win...
It's sad that bs like this keeps happening to us. Somebody like Dorsey will never get hurt though... not that I want him too but man...
Dwight also has a Player Option for 16-17, which he would obviously exercise if his play dropped of due to a serious injury.
It was an accident and not Smith's fault. He didn't do it on purpose. Falls like that on top of another teamate happen all the time in a game and 99% times don't result to injury. It was bad luck.
Hope it's a minor sprain and doesn't swell too much. Dwight without his athleticism isn't very effective honesty. Maybe sit him a game or 2 and hope the swelling goes down, and he can try to finish the series. NEXT MAN UP! CAPELA- IT IS YOUR TIME!!
and when injuries do happen to gsw, its david lee, its the speights' of the world. go figure. sometimes i think maybe it's indeed their year.
