a very good game. good fight. ariza's steal + 3 is why he's my favorite rocket. and harden had his best game in a month - at the right time. we were just a bit unfortunate when dwight got injured. that, plus a some favoritism towards the home team by the refs, that's the ball game right there. but i am proud of my team tonight.

    some reservations:
coach mchale probably left dwight in there for a bit too long. he's hurt and wasnt very effective.
tj missing a couple of key layups that could make a diff.
terry's shots have been off. shoting can be an off and on kinda thing, but he's gotta hit his share of open shots.
brewer gambles a bit too much on defense.

all in all, we had our chance. a little film session, some corrections to the mistakes, plus a bit luck, this is a winnable series. maybe another one going to game 7.

p.s. - diwght's injury may be a blessing in disguise. if he's able to play the remainder of the series, i'd like to see him be used mainly on the defensive end, setting screens and offensive rebounds etc. on the other end. if his injury forces mchale to take the post-up plays out of the game plan, the results may actually get better.

If it's just a bruise can't they just shoot up dwight with pain killers?

As disappointing as some aspects were, I can take this loss. Rockets played hard but came up short.

I guess we'll see. I'm dubious. Hopefully it works out.

Dwight said it was painful playing on the court and he really couldn't do nothing.

No more Dwight alleys. Just when he started looking like the best center in the league again.

If Dwight hadn't gotten injured, we would have won. We fought hard and nearly pulled it off.
I am very concerned about his health. Morey did the right thing to get Prigioni but he is 38 after all. I still feel that a 32 year old scorer/ passer like Mo Williams could have been more useful for us. Houston could have gotten him quite cheaply, but Morey was more interested in getting Ish Smith at the beginning of the season.

If the Rockets won the championships ESPN would criticize all the other teams. It was like this all through out the playoffs. Dallas: Rondo gave up on his team. Clippers: Clipper curse and could close out series. Can't we just be praise once. I we were to beat Gold State it would be the same thing. But what else can you expect from one of the biggest Rockets hater stations in the world.

I Wonder if it would be too risky to try and put Nick Johnson in there as another body to smother curry with, hes quick and athletic with good lateral movement. Not sure what he can bring to the offense but if hes not turning the ball over could it really be that bad? Just a thought

What's scary is once GS showed up to play their defense really shut us down and created problems.

We missed our Golden Opportunity to steal one from these guys. We got them sleeping in the first half and they recovered. Winning game 2 is going to be very hard.

shaun livingston has always been one my favorite players. i wish he's on my team.

very talented and has the height advantage over his defenders. was able to recover from that devastating injury years back.

i am impressed by his demeanor at the press conf. tonight. very well spoken.

Yup. Really the most disappointing aspect. I'm not looking forward to Game 2. I think it's going to go south fast.

You have issues. Dwight could've had an entire little league team up there, if he chose to be a real father.

That's because he is a LEADER...it's what leaders do. I've seen Harden take shots that others go down and stay down on. Talk about Harden all you want but he ought to get some other peoples money IMO. The ROI on him is high vs. some of the other big money we are paying out.
