Holy ****! You don't see many shortstops hitting home runs to the opposite field power alley. Damn that is a swing right there.
If true, that would mean Fresno's offense is top 10 in the majors Since the Astros are 11th in all of baseball in runs scored right now
Francis Martes, the 3rd piece in the Jarred Cosart deal, made his debut for Quad Cities today. He allowed a run on 2 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5 in 4 innings. Quad Cities clobbering Clinton 8-2 in the 8th.
Wow, awful display of pitching by Gregerson. Finally is gone Right now, 4.08 ERA, it can go higher. Houston, WE NEED A CLOSER
10-11 in save opportunities, including 6-6 this month. Rough May, but you definitely weren't saying a damn thing in April either.
Back on topic.... All the fun going on in Fresno is getting the most attention and rightfully so, but AJ Reed and Velasquez continue to be one of my favorite prospects in the system. IF Vince stays healthy he's a #2 starter, and AJ looks like a future Adam Dunn. Hoping they stay healthy and get moved up this year.
I would say yes. Not a very loose swing. He'll punish mistakes, but may have trouble with good movement.
Lancaster leads High Desert 2-1 heading into the bottom of the 5th. Only run Joe Musgrove has allowed came on a solo homer in the 2nd.

.@musgrove23Stros strikes out side in the 5th to give him 9 on the day. Still old for his league and I don't think you can put him ahead of Appel or Hader. You could make an argument for him moving up above Teoscar and Colin Moran but then theres guys like Kemp and Notthingham that are having excellent years. I think I'd go 1. Correa 2. McCullers 3. Velasquez 4. Phillips 5. Appel 6. Santana 7. Feliz 8. Fisher Here is where you could possibly slide him in depending on how much you believe in certain guys like Moran, who I don't believe in, but I'm going to go with 9. Kemp 10. Reed Assuming the 2 top picks are locks to be top 10 prospects I don't see him sliding in this year.
