ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 5/19/2015 (Western Conference Finals, Game 1)

Need to play Pablo more tonight. He looked good out there. Terry's shot wasn't there in 1st half.

 

The Rockets got sloppy with the ball, starting missing shots(law of averages dictated that), and the Warriors started making shots. It doesn't take long for Golden State to erase a big deficit at home. They did it to Memphis in Game 5 in the 1st quarter.

 

Dwight is getting held trying to grab offensive boards. Plain as day.

We were doing good until the Warriors subbed in the refs

 

Pretty much, they are grabbing arms and everything.

 

Of course not. 3rd qtr is key. If we are somehow in this thing at the end of 4th, man ... on the road, all we need is one game.

 

Harden and Howard get rattled too easily. Harden gives up too easy. He should get mad and play harder, not throw in the towel just because the other team is on a good run.

 

So we will see the "golden state is the better team" thread? Get a life Carl. You used to be funny. Now you're a disappointment

 

When D12 and Greene are covering each other, D12 needs to let him shoot from outside . Live with his shot.

 

We need Dwight for rebounding. And he's twice the player Capela is right now. Dwight will take advantage if they stay small.

 

Dwight being big in this series does not mean posting him up a million times. It means him playing great defense, dominating the boards, and scoring off pnr.

 

I thought they were reaching/hacked him on at least three of those.

Reffing in this first half has been decidedly in the favor of GS. They get ticky-tack calls all half, we get blatant hacks not called.

 

Livingston scoring 16 is pathetic. We stopped playing defense and rebounding.

 

Down three at half is not bad on the road in WCF

 

Yeah, me too. Normally, I'd think the Rockets still probably could have overcome bad officiating with better play, but they were playing pretty damn well, and suddenly they can't get a foul call or not get called for a foul. You have nothing you can do at that point.

I'd be tempted to stick Dorsey in to tell the refs six times, "if you like calling fouls, we'll make it easy on you." The problem is that Dorsey would probably somehow figure out how to foul himself then shoot free throws in the wrong basket. At least, he'd miss them.

I don't know how you can say that though when we were just down 3-1.

 

I said million times can't let Shawn Livingston go off. He just did.
