I'd like to see balls and strikes taken out of an umps hand. We have the technology, just use it. The ump can still be behind the plate to make the calls that the "k-zone" is reading. I think this will happen at some point, so why delay it?

Before Lowrie's injury, Astros were 12-7. Since Lowrie's injury, Astros are 13-7. Villar and Gonzalez are the sole reason the Astros have fallen apart since Lowrie's injury. If the Astros just had called up Correa, he would kept the Astros from tanking.
interesting to see Marisnick sitting again... glad Valbuena is back. But I'd play Marwin over Villar any day of the year. I think Hinch screwed up with his lineup last night having both Gonzalez and Villar out there---no es bueno
yeah but it hasn't been an equal replacement. Lowrie was carrying the team in quite a few games early on to keep piling on the wins...Villar & gonzalez are both sub par at best and I don't think they've contributed much...other players have done better than before since Lowrie went down including Valbuena, Rasmus, and the gang, accounting for the continued success...also Gattis & Carter started hitting homers but their abysmal average is still hurting the team.
For a small period of time, weird things happen in baseball. So far, poor SS production isn't hurting the Astros too bad...though there is probably some luck in that.
Gotta get Valbuena a day off every once in a while. Made sense to do it against a LH. Only thing I didn't like was Villar in the 2 spot. Would have rather seen someone like Tucker up there.
Astros better score some runs. Hernandez is giving up some hits, won't be able to hold off the A's for long
A's PBP guy: "Frankly, Ray (Durham), I have no idea where that ball landed." "I don't know either, I just knew it sounded like a home run."
