He is such a freakin p***y! I really don't understand why everyone loves this guy. He had the easiest path to the NBA one can possibly have with his dad in the league. He's a little preppy boy, he's super sensitive and soft. Give me CP, Russ, and Kyrie before Curry any day of the week.
This "Ariza" guy sounds like a straight up thug. You can't just go around and let your shoulder touch someone else's during AN NBA GAME! And this joke of a league hasn't done anything about it!? No fines? No suspensions!? I mean come on - how far will they let this go? They may as well be punching babies in the stands.
curry is so whiny yet so weak even mild mannered stickman brewer might have to 1-arm bodyslam him this series
The Rockets will not do it, but they should have Joey Dorsey foul Curry extremely hard under the basket. It will result in a suspension but would be well worth it. He is used to not being touched under the new rules. It would be worth seeing 1. if he would be able to keep playering and 2. if he would be effective.
Oh! Sounds dramatic! Sounds intense! Tell me more! Talked trash and leaned in aggressively? What a let down of a story.
So, Ariza was right -- Curry stuck his leg out to trip him. You can see it in the video. Anyway, I do rather think the physicality on Curry is the elephant in the room. It looks like a pretty good strategy to deal with him given we don't have a great defender in the backcourt to put on him. So, instead you close out aggressively on him at the 3-point line to force him to drive and then throw a bunch of bodies on him when he's in the paint. Don't want to injure him, but it'll wear him out to play 7 games like that.
It is not just Curry that will whine in this series get ready for the all out blitz of Bogut flopping and Green trash talking. Rockets will be ready for this nonsense and take care of business.
Curry is notorious for flopping on screens, both going around them and especially when setting them. All the NBA players know this. Watch that screen. Curry has his tripping feet planted waaaaaay outside his shoulders, which was a point of emphasis this year (apparently not for Curry though). Then he leans in and gives Ariza a nice little push-off as Ariza goes around him. Ariza tries to give Curry a piece of his own medicine, by embellishing the contact, since Curry is the absolute king of flopping on screens. Curry even flops by falling down onto his hands after he pushes Ariza. Then Ariza barely grazes him with incidental contact while running back.
Honestly, this stuff bodes poorly for the Rockets. The refs are so easily manipulated by teams that whine about fouls and physicality and the Rockets are a team that are so dependent on getting fouls called as fouls. Curry is ALREADY whining about someone touching him with their shoulder a few months ago? Good god, this serious will be brutal.
Guys, we have 3 irritating players to deal with in their starting lineup- Curry, Green, and Bogut. Curry is a great player, but clips like that show he's capable of mental midgetry. I'm not going to say anything about Green- the ultimate douche in basketball, to me. And Bogut? Irritating. I can honestly say that Dallas and the Clippers- the players- really didn't bother me that much. This is going to be torture to watch unless we beat them- then it's going to be way sweeter than the others combined. Get ready, Houston- we're going to have to deal with media menstruality and the Dub Douchebaggery for an entire week- or more.
Agree completely. Unless you watch a lot of Golden State games, you have no idea how annoying these guys are. Bogut will grab Dwight, slap him, scratch him, push him from behind, etc. all while never getting called for a foul. Dwight is going to be so annoyed, just have to pray he doesn't lose his cool. Curry will do little dirty moves to avoid getting taken advantage of for his size. He will flop, he'll push Jason Terry off and then fall down, etc. Then despite getting the calls he will complain to the referees. Draymond Green...oh boy. Guy is a total douche nozzle. It's not that the Warriors are physical, it's that they are allowed to get away with really cheap, annoying fouls.
So Curry's an angel now? Hope we put an end to that in this series, provoke him, bump him, do whatever you can to get him to lose his cool!!
I don't watch Warriors games, but has anyone really taken it to Curry and given him a really hard foul? Not that I'm advocating for Curry to get injured, but I wouldn't mind seeing Ray Lewis With A Basketball give soft-serve Curry the same hard foul that Dwight put on Griffin when he got T'd up.
