Just an FYI found the whole Mad Max 2; The Road Warrior on YouTube last night.

It definitely pales in comparison to Fury Road but it is also 34 years old and was made for a fraction of the budget. Still a great movie and a classic and for those have only seen Fury Road worth it.

Is it possible this will set a new bar and audiences will quit being satisfied by CGI robot fights?

Sadly, no. The comic book movie obsession will continue to grow.

comic book nerds are a guaranteed audience for studios and they love to talk about stuff on the internet so free marketing and easy word of mouth. were gonna see a lot of comic book movies and less weird ones like 'point break', 'seven', and 'fight club'.

Planning on seeing it tonight. Does watching it in 3D make that much of a difference?

No. I would go 2D. The cinematography looks better.

I liked it but car chases and explosions just don't get me off. The cinematography in general did. Definitely the best Rob Zombie video of all time.

For the record, I don't even mind comic book movies so much. I just mind that they always fight robots (or beings so armored that they look like robots) and that's because of easy CGI with rigid objects. (TWSS) Sentinels, Ultrons, blah blah blah.

Robots are not compelling villains, at all. A villain with a horse-toothed mask named Immortal Joe?... Now we're talking.

Was this movie not as hyped?

It got beat out by a considerable margin, by Pitch Perfect 2.

Sorry. It might've been pulled off. Stuff like this usually only last about a week on YouTube before it get's removed.

Pitch Perfect is PG13 and a sequel to a recent popular film.

All the chubby mid west chicks that made Twilight a hit went to see PP2 and the smart coastal ladies went and saw MMFR.

This movie had style. The cinematography was amazing, and arguably the best part of the whole movie.

So is this the '300' of this generation? Sounds like it.

This is a lot better than 300. Don't think that's a fair comparison.
