Did you guys also LOL when Bronn taunted that last sand snake by calling her a little girl and she lunged at him screaming like...a little girl? It is obvious that they didn't care for the sand snakes and they won't play a significant role beyond this season. (pure speculation!)
They really like to build up an unbearable amount of bloodlust before the orgasm of righteous revenge. Remember Joffrey was shooting girls with a bow and arrow for sport.
Jesus that was uncomfortable. They have set themselves up for a million sub plots to explode all at once here at the end.
I really do expect a LOT to happen in these last four episodes. Has it been confirmed that they are only doing seven seasons total?
My takeaways: 1) I don't get the Sansa storyline. This feels like a bunch of garbage honestly. Littlefinger dropped her off at the North, she gets married and raped in a tortuous moment...all so she can run away potentially with Brienne? I don't like storylines designed for nothing but shock value and I feel like this Sansa storyline was written entirely to get her raped. 2) Poor Bronn. They made a point to show his arm getting slashed, that must be a poison blade. 3) The so called sand snakes are sorry. Three on 1.5 and they couldn't take them!
I don't think the Sansa storyline is pointless. This is an entirely original plot, so book readers can't spoil this, but I'll spoiler it anyway cuz we got some whiners. Spoiler The more I see of this season, the more I think Sansa ends up in charge of Winterfell. I think Stannis conquers Winterfell and names her wardeness to get the North on his side. With the Faith running wild and the Lannister/Tyrell alliance falling apart, I'm betting this season ends with Westeros in chaos yet again setting up Dany to enter the fray at some point next season.
Spoiler No way man, that's the happy ending for her so it can't happen in this universe. Only the worst possible outcome. Sand Snakes are LOL terrible. So weird to have such weak ass characters and story line since GOT has been so good.
Yeah the Sand Snakes were a total abomination. Horrible. That whole scene was awful. Sand Snakes are supposed to be these total badass Oberyn clones right? Couldn't take out a one armed man and a sellsword.
What happened to those fire/cult people from like season 3 or 4? Arya and the Hound walked into their cave or something, the Hound kills their leader but the leader is revived by the God of Fire or Light or something? Maybe they were related to Fire chick Stannis follows? Ring a bell for anyone? Just a faint memory for me. What was that about, again? Are they relevant?
Brotherhood without Banners. Beric Dondarion was their leader. Yes, they were related to the God of Light, same god Melisandre serves. The guy who resurrected their leader, Thoros, was a red priest like Melisandre. They met in one of the episodes in Season 3. Who knows if we'll ever see them again.
I don't think you needed to spoil any of that. You guessing on where things will end up is not a spoiler, it's a guess. The reason it's pointless is that we can reasonably assume now that she is going to call on Brienne for help. Otherwise, what was the point of the message about the candle in the tower? So if they end up running, which I think they will, why did we need to see her married to Ramsey and get hurt? I think the writers could have accomplished everything they want to accomplish without creating this storyline. I think the entire reason they created it was EXCLUSIVELY to give us that one scene.
Man I was hoping for the same and they were what I was looking forward to the most for this season. Such an utter disappointment, Oberyn set the bar so high and the casting took a dump on it.
Sure, but what better place to get poisoned than in Dorne? A place that specializes in poisons probably also specializes in antidotes too. Obviously all of this is pure speculation but that's what I'd think.
I said the same thing yesterday...the sand snakes as portrayed are just TERRIBLE. I don't know what it is..can't take them seriously in the show or what but it is weak..
Add to it that Ellaria Sand's grand plan was to stand for the duration of the attempt kidnapping.....
I can't tell if Littlefinger is on Sansa's side or is going to backstab her. Maybe Bolton defeats Stannis and then Littlefinger shows up to demolish the Boltons.. and then gives Winterfell to Sansa? I hope that's how it plays out.
Sealing the deal with your wife after the wedding is rape? Did Kal Drogo rape Khaleesi? The Theon watching part was kinky for sure. But that's generally about how I would expect things to go during medieval times. No way Sansa runs away now. Hopefully she feels betrayed by Littlefinger. Then go full heel turn and destroy all those who have wronged her. Brienne will be her muscle.
Littlefinger wants the north, and he's set up Sansa to believe he supports restoring her to power in the north. I think littlefinger will betray that Boltons like the Boltons betrayed the Starks at the red wedding. Reek will kill Ramsay and clear his name. Littlefinger will marry Sansa and get his north....at least for the time being. Then Brienne comes is and kills littlefinger My thoughts on the situation...Probably way too simplistic. One another note, Nobody huge has died in a while. Anyone want to guess at who will be the first big name to die this season?
