Come on, IBTL. Can't we just set our differences aside for these playoffs please.

I believe that for some reason you were offended by CH's posts.

Let's just be comrades in arms for this season.

Don't let hate for another poster get the best of you but the love for the Rockets triumph.

I think you are better than that.

Enjoy the victory, and the challenge of the year against the team with the best NBA record this year

Thin bench. But they shouldn't have been so flat the whole game. They did come alive at the end though. Thank goodness we don't play 5 qtrs.

Will, you are one of my favorite posters, but I totally disagree with your here. The rockets at their best, hitting their 3's and defending, is better than any team in the league and a lot better than the Clippers. We are one of the few teams outside of San Antonio that has a true inside/outside game than coincides with the one of the best transition games in the league. Unfortunately our outside game is inconsistent because we don't have any dead eye shooters and our defensive intensity is lacking sometimes. That being said, when we shooting well, there is nothing a team can do to defend us.

In regards to Carl, I think you mistake his wit and cleverness with an understanding about basketball. Carl has been butt-hurt since Morey traded Patterson away.

I agree with this. We all had a feeling the reg season Rockets team would have been no match for either Spurs or Clippers in the first round. But two things happened that led to this series win:

    1. Everyone can see the Spurs-clippers series would have taken a toll on the clippers starters. It was a matter of whether they could close out the rockets soon enough or whether their bench suddenly play above the normal output. They did to an extent but ran out of gas by the 4th qtr of game 6, which we simply couldn't predict.

    2. Harden let others play and make plays. I've said this all season. The bench roster have not performed to their normal potential throughout the season, in a way they were undermined by the focus on forcing it on Harden's lead. This is not to say anyone is selfish, but a better coach would probably have paid attention to maximizing not only one or two players but also others in the rosters.

Leading up to today, they did this for a bit already. For instance , Josh was let loose in the dallas series, and in game 2 of third quarter vs clippers, Harden was not helping the team and had to sit, only to have the bench get back close, and only until then Harden's pressure is relieved and could play his game.

Suddenly in game six, Harden got sick, everybody had let it loose. The rest is history, this team is playing the best ball of the season right now cos EVERYONE is playing, the feeling is that any individual can take control of the game and own up, instead of trying to follow a "game plan" of relying on Harden.

That was the reason I believed Curry is the MVP. I believe Harden still has a mental flaw with caving in pressure and proving himself to be the top dog. Somehow Harden's ineffectiveness or sickness of recent games have let loose others to play to advance. As a result the team has improved.

If Harden learns how to balance his mindset and understand how to let teammates perform to their potential, he can be a more legitimate MVP contender next season.

Also, Warriors are underperforming so far in the playoffs, while rockets have found a new team-ball groove. The matchup looks better now than at any point this season for the rox.

After games 3 and 4, there was no question that the Clippers had our number. In terms of ban-worthy stupidity, this thread has nothing on Carl's repeated calls to trade James Harden for Kevin Love. He will never live that down.

P.S. Our best is + DMO +Bev. That's a full roster. We get those guys in the lineup and we click like we are now... we would demolish this team. Too many weapons.

Dude you are a sorry excuse for a poster today. I sincerely hope you are drunk, everything Will said about you was correct, and for someone who has been here long enough you should know you are walking a fine line to getting banned. If you don't it'll probably be because today was such a great day. Trying to divide our fanbase and making it bitter is not something Clutch will stand for. And it is pretty obnoxious for you to tell people what Clutch deserves when he is the one that made Will part of the Clutch Crew, both dudes who have been here longer than you and me combined. In short...shut the hell up.

Seriously, you're going to blame someone in this thread of dividing our fanbase and leave sorry ass OP out of it? He's a sorry malcontent of a 'fan'.

I don't disagree with the reasons you cited for the Clippers' loss but there's a reason we play a seven game series. Seven games is enough time to correct for flukes or outliers or noise. The team that wins a seven game series is the better team almost by definition.

While IBTL is obviously taking this a bit far, there are many posters who try to divide the fan base, yourself included at one time with your list of "best posters" that for the most part only included guys who disliked Morey.

I'm guilty of my share of counter-trolling.

Then there's the cheke64 types who only post when the Rockets lose.

Carl has been mad at the Rockets for a long time now. I wonder if he still wants to trade Harden...

And tinman has been "dividing the forum" for seemingly forever with his nonsense "99ers are better than everyone!" crap.

So really, none of us know at all what Clutch will and will not stand for. I think the point is, and we can all probably agree on this, that everyone should just be happy at this time of being a Rockets fan. Anyone who is hoping the Rockets do bad so they can be proven right has something wrong with them.

Right on. I deleted my two posts above because I stepped into an argument and wanted to give my take.

but that take was about the PAST. The clippers are done. And I am beyond thrilled. I can't but love this moment.

Thanks DudeWah for putting it back into simple terms

    GO ROCKETS!
