Major difference: McHale stood more often during the final 3 games.

Not defending Ethan Strauss but he is pretty funny.

The Maloof brothers fired Adelman for not standing and being verbal on the side lines. It got so bad right before they fired him they were heckling him during games for coaching in his way.

Had to work all day and my cell service sucks so after seeing the 1st half score felt good but not great about our chances, my co-worker had a much newer smart phone than I and with 6 mins left after I pleaded with him to give me a score check (while honestly wanting to puke while I waited to hear the score) was ecstatic to hear they were up 20... Of course when he told me they were only up 6 with a min and 30 ish left I almost had a minor myocardial infarction as I truly felt we would blow it thanks to Hacka whomever, but when he told me they were up 12 w/ only a few seconds I literally left a giddy laugh like a 4 year old kid... God it felt so good, going to watch the replay tonight at 3 AM and feel sooo good about already knowing we are heading to the WCF !!!

Basically he is saying that points roll over bc otherwise how would you calculate pd avg? The only point differential that matters is that in 4 games per series or 8 total- that the rox scored more points than their opponents (ie pos. P.D)

Point differential only matter in the regular season because it's 82 games and everyone pretty plays the same opponents. In the playoffs, it's about wins. A 1 point win on a last minute shot counts the same as a 40 point blowout. It's more like tennis in this regard. You can win a 5 set match by winning 3 tie breakers even if you get bageled in the other two sets.

Game 7! feels so good to get the win. haven't won a Game 7 since Seattle '97 and we've lost some brutal ones since then, 05 Mavs, 07 Jazz and 09 Lakers.

Adding last year to this year, the Rockets are 10-8 with a +1 differential. If this was the regular season, would anyone say that's "extremely lucky?" Adding the year before that, the Rockets are 12-12 with a roughly -1.2 point differential per game. Again, who even bother looking at that if this was the regular season?

Just because you're wrong because you chose to judge the Rockets by 4 games and refuse to back off that wrong prognosis after 7 games of LARGER SAMPLE SIZE, or that some Warrior fan decide to ignore years of larger data for a much smaller recent one, doesn't mean his or your opinions really hold any water.
