he was trying to intentionally foul while the ball was in the air so howard would go to the line and it wouldn't be an away form the play foul. it was actually a smart play but he didn't have to jump on him like that lol
Intentional loose ball foul play called by Doc. It's so that they send Dwight to the line w/in the last 2 minutes so no extra penalty because it's not considered an intentional foul. No time came off the clock either. And Dwight bricked his free throws too.
I love, LOVE in that clip - Dwight doesn't even flinch at it and still only has eyes for the ball. It's disgusting that this is even allowed to happen in a game - the ball hadn't even reached the ring yet. Much the same as it's a violation for moving into the lane too early - that foul should be similar to a foul before the ball is inbounded.

It's really hard to see how jumping on a guy's back before the play even starts is not a flagrant foul.
As much as I hate CP3 I kind of feel bad for him.. This really has to suck for him... he can't get over the hump.. 3-1 for goodness sake.
He jumped on the free throw release. Look for this to happen again if the Rockets have a lead under 2 minutes with Dwight in the game. Might have to pull Dwight on the 1st FT attempt in the future if he's that off during the game.

CP3 actually was the only dude fighting in the 3rd and 4th. Blake froze up and was getting outplayed by josh smith.
