Our big man rotation is about to destroy golden state

 

It was completely worth getting up at 4am to watch this game.

(On a side note, any other Rocket fans in Osaka?)

Look how slow we were to start vs Clips after we got 4 days' rest.

 

Where is basketballholic? I thought Jones wasn't a major contributor on a championship level team. Love it when some people think they know everything there is to know about basketball.

Fantastic. Any sympathy I have for the Clippers is tempered by how cocky they were up 3-1. Austin Rivers mocking Harden? Really? After 1 good game? Keep practicing, junior.

 

Absolutely the key to the series. Pound the ball into the paint and don't stop until the series is over. GSW have one weakness and that is low post defense once Bogut hits the bench. Go at him. Keep going at him. Never stop going at him. Pound the paint and keep Klay from going off and we have a fighting chance. They have no answer for Howard, Smith, Jones, Capella, and Dorsey. Send them in waves.

Agreed but the Cavaliers and Hawks should be playing on Monday, not on Wednesday. Imo

I'm starting to think they want a team from the East to win it all. Lol j/k

 

I'm floating around my house about a foot off the floor and I may not come back to earth until very late tonight. Time to break out the Scotch and the Harp again. It helped me get to sleep about 4am after game 6. God, I'm so pumped, and I'm far from satisfied. I was convinced that we would beat the Clippers, and I am just as convinced that we will defeat Golden State.

The Rockets win an epic 7 game series, with the media sucking Golden State's johnson the entire time, at least until the final buzzer sounds. Bring it on. We have the talent and the toughness to do it. This series proved it. So bring on the pretty boys, the media's darlings, the gods of the talking heads. Those are great basketball players over there. Let's destroy them and make them beg for their mothers. Let's do it one more time. The Finals are waiting.

i was just thinking about the past 18 years……we probably watched 1500+ games to finally get back to the WCF….cheers deck!

I feel you, the young fans just can't know how sweet it is after all these years. It really is a blast from the past. I think this team is just now getting into a rhythm. Only Harden seems out of sync. If he can relax and not be so tight, I think the Rockets have a chance over the pretty boys. But no matter what, you can't take this away from us. We are in the Western Finals. It is really happening.

One of my favorite game 7 moments: during a late timeout, Nick and KJ did a little skit in honor of Chef Harden. Nick held his arms in a big circle, and KJ acted like he was throwing loads of ingredients into the pot, then went to stirring an imaginary giant ladle. They showed the whole thing on the big screen, and it got the crowd stirred up.
