This is why when they will lose to the Rockets if the Rockets play the Dubs. They played an inexperienced and very young Pelicans team and then a hobbled Memphis team.

what gets me is that I have never seen the media assault on a team like the grizzlies were assaulted in this post season.

One espn headline is: the grizzlies are good but not good enough once again. The entire series the media were saying the grizzlies don't have a chance (all except barkley).

it leads me to believe that the media is media is made up of stat guys and nerds who hate what the grizzlies represent and they want to see the grizzlies broken up as soon as possible so that their theories will remain correct.

you really couldn't tell that this grizzlies team that was on the floor last night was any semblance of the real grizzlies team and they still nearly took this golden state team to 7 games, but that play at the end of the 3rd quarter was a killer. It took all the momentum the grizzlies had built up and dashed any hopes for a comeback.

 

they pile on the grizzlies because there aren't any recognisable names, same reason they had jack **** national games. If it was due to stat nerds, they wouldn't pile on houston as well, it's probably closer to anti nerds, which would tie into the hollins sacking.

 

"But my team is hobbled by injuries" is no excuse. Many teams are hobbled by this time in the season. Having the depth to withstand injuries is a part of the GM's job.

The media have criticism-- many legitimate, some not-- for many teams because most.NBA teams have weaknesses..Grizzlies are not singled out by any means.

 

I actually like the Grizz and how they play, what they stand for. Screw the media, their mind control wizardry doesn't work on me. Anyway, gotta run and buy the Curry One Under Armour shoes so I can hit 70 footers at the Y.

the game that both mike conley and tony allen played well in the grizzlies beat gs on their home floor. so don't tell me injuries didn't affect this series. our best defender and our best player, mike had like 3 points last night going into the 4th quarter. 3 points. lol

 

Bringing up the bogut match-up adjustment makes you look ridiculously brainwashed by the media. Allen played 15 minutes in that game (game 4), and then sat in game 5 and 5 minutes in game 6.

but let's crown stef curry for being the mvp. smdh

and even after all that, it took a ridiculous call and a ridiculous shot to seize the series from the grizzlies.

Memphis has had this core together for years, and the only time they got out of the second round was when Beverley took out Westbrook. They have reached their ceiling.
