The Clippers are favored by 2 in spite of our historic comeback win. This is the first time (out of 92 game 7's) where the home team is the underdog. Our team needs to use this for motivation.
While I can absolutely see how the Clippers COULD win Game 7, I'm totally and utterly shocked by the amount of national media coming out and saying they are still favoring the Clippers. I'm not saying we're shoe-ins, but if you had to have an objective take on the game, I would say having it as a Pick Em seems to be the logical choice.
I think its good for the Rox to be underdogs. In this current era, they haven't been good front runners. Being underdogs is a great way to keep them humble and hopefully help them not take anything for granted. The Clippers aren't good front runners either. After people were saying they were favored to win it all after game 4 you see what is happening to them. But that is their problem. Like I keep saying, the Rox just need to go out there and give a professional effort and let the rest take care of itself.
I don't think it's the national media. It's just what line Vegas sets to balance out the bets on both sides. For example, Rockets were favored to win the series before it began despite the vast majority of the national media picking the Clippers.
That's because they are the better team on paper because we are missing two key players We have to really out play them to win, they just need to play normally to beat us
No offense, but if Game 7 on your home floor and the possibility of going to the Western Conference Finals aren't enough motivation, then I don't know what to say.
Probably will be 8 on 5 this game. la v golden state would be great for the NBA. No excuses let's do this Rockets!
+110 Rockets ML isn't bad. You can take the -2 and protect against a last second heartache. Clippers were 45-1 to win the title when down 3-2 to the Spurs. Now they're 10-1 Rockets are 12-1. The -2 will probably move tomorrow.
If the betting public truly believes in this travesty, and bets the Rockets heavy... the line will move. If the line stays the same it means that more people do see the Clippers covering than the Rockets pulling it out.
Almost all of the media has counted out the Rockets since the beginning of the season, this is no different. It's almost a good thing at this point.
