We had a gathering of TRUE Rockets fans tonight in Eugene, OR -- me and topfive's_gf and Pizza_Da_Hut and his gf, along with some non-Clutchfans dude named Brian (who will no doubt be joining CF soon after the lecture he got). It was awesome, and we never completely gave up hope, even when we were down by 19. Pizza_Da_Hut should be named MVP of this game, because he taunted a table full of halfass Clippers fans all night long (or at least until they left midway through the third quarter). Highlight of the night: Pizza_Da_Hut begging me not to say "We got this one!" until about 30 seconds left. Lowlight of the night: Brian asking if Pizza_Da_Hut was my son. We've already made arrangements to meet again on Sunday, since we were the main reason for tonight's big win. Here's the pic. Hell yeah! Love to see gatherings of non-Texas Rockets supporters! On that note, paging ANY FANS IN ARKANSAS!!!!!! I would love to watch game 7 with you guys...if you're out there!
Come to Eugene for game 7! We've already made our plans. Next round, though, we'll be meeting in Portland. :grin:
I'm in Medford. Can't make it Sunday but after we win Game 7 I might be able to get to Eugene for a game night during the next series.
