Nice win. This bullpen is night and day from the last few seasons.

Even when it feels like we're playing poorly, we still split series.

Great win... especially since I'm at a bar with Giants fans.

They talked all kinda trash about Minute Maid, Dwight, and said Anthony David would not only be better than Dream, but muuuch better. Their reasoning was all trumpd by yours truly. :) They had to change the subject... lol.

H-Town represented in all facets tonight!!!!!

You must be the type that gets scared easy then, because Gregorson has been money, and the bullpen overall has been spectacular.

Lidge, Dotel, Wags never pitched that team to any meaningful games (i.e. - playoffs). They actually choked down the stretch, but this gets lost in people's memories (much like the Rockets struggling to beat a bad Clippers team in the first round in 1993).

In many ways, that team would have been much better served by having Dotel as the 8th inning guy, Lidge as the 9th inning guy, and then using Wagner's big salary to improve the rotation (Jeriome Robertson, RIP, with the career season!)

Yeah, I was going to say the starters were more of a problem than the bullpen. But the starters weren't healthy and Clemens was a big game chump.

I'm curious as to their reasoning on Davis being better than the dream

This is terrible news. He is arguably our 3rd best starter, and he's basically going to end up missing 1/3 of the season at least.

Tough break for Oberholtzer and the Astros, but glad to get the win. The lineup really missed Springer and he returned with a bang. Team will be okay if they can avoid long losing streaks and stretches where they lose 2 of 10.

damn blisters. they don't seem like much but are kryptonite to a pitcher. what causes them on some pitchers? their grip?

this team desperately missed springer, both his play and aura.

I'm guessing they will use him out of the bullpen and go back to Deduno starting.
