Bandwagon was not the right word to use in the title. Bandwagon fans are just fine. Any reason to root on the Rockets is good enough for me. The ones that should be banned are the b****-ass loser "fans" calling for boycotts, empty seats, booing, losses, firings etc. after every game. I welcome everyone aboard the Rockets bandwagon. Just don't be a douche while you're riding it.
How's this Haymitch... ClutchFans Creed Game Night gathers, and now our watch begins until the final score is revealed to ALL the land. We shall take no haters' opinions seriously, hold no conversations not related to the Houston Rockets. We shall wear Ketchup and Mustard colored clothes every game and win respect of true fellow rowdy Rockets fans. We shall live and die with the heartbeat of our team. We are the dagger that stabs the hearts of opposing "fans" with every cold-blooded shot we make. We are the fire that explodes, symbolic of when the Rockets take off. We are the victory horn that awakens the sleeping nonbelievers. We pledge our lives, our hearts, and our honor to this night's watch; for tonight, and both many nights and seasons to come. We now hereby solemnly swear eternal loyalty, to Clutch! ClutchFans 4 Life!!!!!
I'm sure this board has its fair share of trolls or haters from other teams and while I don't support or condone "irrational post" / "heated/FEELs type of post" some of these guys are just upset and disappointed. I hope like there's no tomorrow that the Rockets come here Thurs and win game 6 BUT WHERE IN THE WORLD was last night's performance??? These guys DID NOT play like it was "win or go home" Games 1-4 and it may have cost them this series
Exactly, why people feel the need to put someone down to make themselves feel better is typical bully behaviour and thinking you're superior. People should just stop it. Getting into an argument fine, but thinking you can tell someone he's not an actual fan or a good fan is just bull****. These types of posts also don't help, I open up about how some people might feel or work and you call them a loser. Real classy.
I can understand dissapointment and anger. What I can't understand is calling Harden Frauden, asking for boycott and hoping for a 50 point loss.
Why do you have to believe in someone to love that person? I love my daughter but I don't believe in her being the next Miss Universe. Does that mean my love for her is fake? A fan may love the Rockets but does not believe in them winning the series. Does that make his love fake? To me, the only thing that define a fan is that he loves the team and HOPE that they win every time.
They actually had only one bad quarter in Game 2: -20 in 2nd qtr. In the other 3 quarters they were +11, +7, and +8. Revisionist history at it's finest.
It's hilarious that someone who would post this: Would have the nerve to bring up class. I cannot think of a more apt term than the one I already used.
Then, under your definition, Clutchfans is riddled with non-fans. There were many, some openly and some not, who wished the Rockets to loose game 5 as badly as possible...so that their anti-McHale and anti-Morrey campaigns could gain momentum. Probably the same people who will be hoping for a blow-out loss in game 6. Not fans in my book either. They should not ruin a Rockets fan forum with their presence.
Thinking the team was going to lose isn't being a bandwagon fan you ****ing dummy. We can think the team has quit after 2 20+ point defeats and still want to win the game. The premise of this post is so emotional, immature and pretty ****ing stupid.
Baloney! Rocket's fans get really upset when their beloved team sleepwalks through games or shows no heart, or quits and they have every right to do. They wouldn't be fans if they didn't. Listen carefully, there are NO bandwagon fans on ClutchFans. Only hard core fanatics. Bandwagon fans wouldn't bother to come here.
Your analogy only works if your daughter was competing in the Miss Universe Pageant and blew her opening walk. You may think she has no chance to win the competition but you hope she kills her plea for world peace and what not. The problem with a lot of the fans who do not believe the team is good enough is that they also aren't hopeful.
I agree with you 100 percent. People calling for boycotts and protests is a little much. I mean losing one game does not warrant a political statement or picketing in the streets. Like most of you I watch sports to escape the realities of everday life
