The difference is that DeAndre is in foul trouble. Harden can't attack the paint as effectively with him in the game, and Dwight can't be Dwight with him in the game. The key is to hope the refs keep blowing the whistle on DeAndre
Yea were giving them some of there own medicine same way Howard has gotten in foul trouble every single time
Let's forget this nonsense about "hoping" the whistles go a certain way and instead take control of our destiny. Crucial play when harden chose to drive directly into Jordan for his 2nd foul instead of continuing to settle and shy away from the heart of our offense and play the way they want to play
Harden should be going to the step back every time if Redick is on him and/or if DJ is in the game. That step back is good for 50%.
There was one play in the 2nd qtr where he had a pnr with Capela and wound up with Jordan on him. Instead of passing out, he drove and got the 3rd foul on the Clips' center. I think his illness helped him play more loosely yet more focused.
Harden played very differently tonight. He attacked and got some crucial fouls down low. He has to keep doing this. Even though he was sick he was way more into this game tonight on both ends of the floor.
He isn't playing differently. Only the role players stepped up. That makes a huge difference, doesn't it?
Thank you. He can't keep running into a 3 man wall and throwing up stuff hoping it goes in. That would be stupid. What was different tonight is that when he made the smart play and passed the ball his team mates carried their weight for once in this series and made their shots...(and DJ was in foul trouble)
This. If your role players aren't making shots then it's not really that hard to clamp down on one person. I didn't see a significant difference in the energy from Harden tonight, I just saw a lot more shots going in.
You're everything that's wrong with the GARM. He plays well and your comment is "yeah but when is he going to suck again?" Awesome.
